Surely it would have been better to show the match on BBC 2.......... or better still BBC 3 or BBC 4!!! , on second thoughts...  why show it at all............
I pay my licence fee to be entertained informed, and educated..NOT to watch 22 grown men kicking a silly little ball into the back of some stringy thing!!!!!...
The problem with showing that match on BBC3 or 4 is that unless you have Sky or Freeview you can't watch them.
The funny thing about this thread is I said to my hubby on Saturday night when we were watching the Liverpool game "I wonder how many people are moaning about this being on". Saturday night TV is absolute drivel what with Casualty, National Lottery etc-give me a decent (or even half decent) match any day!pandas66 wrote:I watch very little tv nowadays, through choice as not a lot appeals to me. But I love footy on the BBC, no adverts, no lose of momentum within the game. When shown on advertising channels and even BBC3 & 4 theres too much interuption, I find it frustrating that play is lost while we have to be told to eat cheese strips or I can swim at certain times of the month! On BBC3 & 4 they interrupt any program on the hour with 60 sec news bulletin. The we return to the match to find a goal has been scored or offside and the whole game is ruined.
I've never seen a match on Sky interrupted by adverts-half time perhaps. What channel do you watch football on?0 -

Listen to the radio, read a book, go on the internet, talk to other members of the family, watch a DVD instead, learn to play a musical instrument, turn the TV off and enjoy the peace and quiet, think and just be thankful you don't have to watching mind numbingly stupid programmes on TV. Personally both games were most entertaining and not a big football fan.

BTw got 2 children that keep me ever so busy, thats why I dont post till late................Peace and quiet? oh yes...........it beats watching fottie.... thanks for your post though,
