    Wow, you're one generous/rich gran. Noone's ever given me anything like that (in fact I've never owned a car at the age of 28).

    I'm beginning to think maybe I shouldn't have done that but it, or they as there are two g/sons, were promised this treat a few years ago and I never break my word. Their parents are successful so they have good lives. Superscaper, did you ever want to drive and have a car? Incidentally the insurance was twice the price of the car!

    Just reading over these posts about Vista I am beginning to think I will not like it. And, I am a bit sorry I bought it especially as they strongly recommend I take a copy of the operating system before I do anything else. How many CDs will that take?

    Making a recovery disc is common sense. Go search around a few threads where people have discovered they should have made one one ten minutes after a problem.
