Did you ask if you'd still be able to make deposits ("No additional deposits after account is withdrawn") if they do honour the original offer? Pretty useless otherwise unless you opened the account with a large deposit.0

Well all I can say is she said get it in ASAP but gave no deadline. It doesnt sound like the most professional outfit though. Possibly just guesswork from the girl who answered the phone.0

The guy that I spoke to on the phone seemed quite helpful and knowledgable.0

I'll do my best to get it in when I can (I am still waiting for the form from them at the moment) but am not going to be majorly disappointed if I miss out now.0

Posted mine on Monday for 5.51% account not heard anything yet and cheque not been cashed. Has anyone else who applied for first issue been advised yet that the account is open and when did they post?0

When I called a few days ago I was told that the deadline is the end of close on the 15th. Call them again and double check. If you're having trouble finding the online form, since they removed all links to it on their site, see below. I'd print it off if I were you and send it by special delivery, at the post office.

I just called them again now, to confirm the deadline. Initially she told me that the deadline was today. After hearing this I told her that another member of staff had previously informed me that the deadline was the end of close on the 15th. After checking with someone else, she confirmed that I was correct and that the form needed to be in by the end of monday the 15th.
So, there is still time. So long as you go to the post office before 5pm on saturday, your form and cheque can be sent by special delivery, to arrive before 1pm on monday. Just make sure to select the before 1pm option.0 -
