Am going to install and run Eiwdo now. Shall I post log again after this?
Adding that this is my teenage daughters pc and I'm sure them and their freinds have downloaded stuff that I don't know about0 -
This one...
C:\WINDOWS\system32\mssearchnet.exe
...is at the root of at least some of your problems. A Trojan downloader.
Run Ewido then repost a fresh log.0 -
yep download ewido and run that in safe mode
let it delete everything it finds then repost your log
beat me to it Pchelpman !!!!
the Malware "sticky" is up now, it's not 100% but its a startEx forum ambassador

Let Ewido try to do it.
When you post a new log we'll see if it's still there.0 -
Thanks- at the moment it's still scanning the registry. been running for 50 minutes0
-
Leave the darn PC alone if its doing a scan how on earth can it
do a proper scan if you are using it.. leave the thing alone and just have that
program doing the scan only or you may get a false report.. :rolleyes:0 -
how are you running it properly if you are posting here ??
in safe mode you cannot connect to the internet
Ewido will NOT clean effectively if you have a browser open and are not in safe modeEx forum ambassador
