by securitycaution.com and also got SpywareStrike on the pc. I have run adaware, hijack this, ccleaner and still can't get rid of the damn thing. Any ideas. I've also tried resetting my home page through Internet Options but it keeps going back to securitycaution.com.
Adding that as it's my old pc I'm not too bothered but my daughters and husband are - lol

There is lots of good advice on this forum about just this problem. I had it over xmas, and I eventually got rid of it, or at least pushed it to one side, with EWIGO software. Check their website, I think it's https://www.ewigo.com, they should be able to help, otherwise trawl through this forum for a few days back, you will find several alternatives. I had it over xmas, and I know how frustrating it is, you could cheerfully wring these peoples necks. Good luck, persevere and you will get rid of it.0

Ewido is indeed your first stop for a fix for this but please clarify something for me.
What exactly did you do with HijackThis?
I ask only because HJT is a powerful little program that, if used wrongly, will end up totally trashing your PC.0 -
All you have to do is run microsoft antispyware free download aff there site and thast will remove any thing nasty you could also try cws shredder .If it doesn't fit, force it; if it breaks, it needed replacement anywaySarcasm helps keep you from telling people what you really think of them

Run HiJack This again, but use the "Save Log" option. Save it to somewhere on your PC, then open the log, Highlight it all (ctrl + A) then Copy (Ctrl + C) then paste it into a post on here (Ctrl + V). Then we'll take a look and see what needs removing.0
