Ignore, ignore, ignore, ignore......by the way, did I say ignore? They have no legal basis to charge a fine for anything, and there are a lot of people who wish that a PPC WOULD take them to court but it's never happened so don't worry about that! DON'T contact them, and eventually, like a bad smell, they will go away.:j Finally sorting out my finances once and for all.....bring on the Excel spreadsheets!!0

I've read about five pages of this thread. I've never had any kind of ticket in forty something years of driving but if I did get one of these scam tickets then thanks to Pepipoo I would not have a problem ignoring them.
I can't believe how many naive people are out there and it is no wonder these crooks make so much money. What strikes me as very odd is that many posters on here have only one posting to their credit and despite being given good advice which if followed saves them cash, they don't have the decency to say thank you.
Try and be a bit more grateful when someone goes out of their way to help please. I know I would!0 -

I rather like that response.
I hope everyone gets it.0 -

Can anyone advise please. I have received a parking charge today in a retail car park. There is no pay and display but a large sign that says I can park there if I shop there and I can stay for 2 hours but cannot return for at least an hour after that time. I parked and went to the bank and then returned to the retail park. On my return it says that I had contravened rule 1 which is that I cannot leave the retail park and was issued with a £60 charge. So this is my fault as I didn't corectly read the first rule as to not leaving the retail park. Should I pay?0

How many posts and replies does it take to get through ???
Please, please read some of the posts on this forum and you will see thousands (well hundreds) of answers saying NO. Unless it is an official parking ticket from a Council.
It's like groundhog day.0 -
I know it's like groundhog dog, and I do apologise. I suppose it's because when it happens to you it always feels like it's an independent case like no-one else's.0

You will be reassured by the many posts on here that all PPC tickets are variations on the same theme all leading to the same advice and the most satisfying thing for you is that, after a number of increasingly threatening letters, they go away.
So stay strong !0 -
Is everyone aware of the parking restriction at McDonalds (fast food) car parks? I've never noticed any signs about it but my son and his family when to a McDonalds near where they live in Kingstanding, Birmingham, and ate their meal in their parked car, in the car park.
They were there for 23 minutes - they know this because they have had a parking charge of £30 for exceeding the 20 minute car park limit. This applies whether you drive through, eat in the car park or eat inside.
The charge increases the longer you take to pay it!!!!!
He is challenging it, mostly because it is such a ridiculous stipulation.0
