Have now received a number of requestsfrom central ticketing for payment, the last from Roxburgh debt collectors, I have up to now ignored all requests for payment and have not contacted Central ticketing or Roxburgh, but have contacted the store manager of M&S at Deepdale, Preston, he is of the opinion he can get it overturned, I will post further details as the case progresses.
Have now received the "Notice of intended prosecution" from Mr White.co
cant wait for the follow up and for the county court summons.0 -
So does this mean that when I spoke on the phone requesting what is their appeals procedure and verbally confirmed my name, address and the PCN number, have I unknowingly admitted that the PCN is correct?
Firstly, it's not a PCN, and there is absolutely nothing "correct" about it. PCNs come from councils.
You are giving them too much credibility. There is no "appeals procedure". The whole thing is a scam. You are under no obligation to tell them anything, so ignore all future correspondence from them. Contacting them only encourages them to pester you for longer than usual.
I like this bit -3) and "the site is monitored by ANPR cameras, which are designed to take photographs of vehicles entering and exiting the car park. As such our camera system does not detect whom the driver is"
Which bunch of muppets is it?0 -

Hi there forum readers
Perhaps this question has been asked and answered somewhere within the 1793 posts so far and if the answer is here in this thread, possible to point me to the posting number? I would be very grateful:)
The background to my question is:
I've been issued with a PCN for £60 by a high street supermarket's car park firm. They say I have until the 17 Aug 2010 to pay up. I was not the driver at the time of the offence and when I requested photographic evidence of the driver, all I received back was
1) enlarged 'evidence' of my car front and back registration plates.
2) a letter saying "as the registered keeper, you are required by law to know the whereabouts of your vehicle and in whose responsibility you leave your vehicle while not driving it yourself"
3) and "the site is monitored by ANPR cameras, which are designed to take photographs of vehicles entering and exiting the car park. As such our camera system does not detect whom the driver is"
My question is:
I've read too late the information on this site, about not saying that you're appealing where instead you're suppose to say that you're refusing to pay.
So does this mean that when I spoke on the phone requesting what is their appeals procedure and verbally confirmed my name, address and the PCN number, have I unknowingly admitted that the PCN is correct?
And is it too late, to send off the 'I wasn't driving letter' that Martin has provided on this site?
Any advice is appreciated
Thanks
Zoe
You have no need to be concerned in anyway about any future letters you may receive.
The fact that you have contacted the scum is of little relevance, just try not to do it again.
I don't know why the "official" advice from this site is to contact the PPC lowlifes.
Those who have had dealings with them in the past will recommend ignoring all and every communication from them0 -
Send them the money, unless you can be bothered to read a fewq threads ojn here...all of which say
Private = Ignore.
Ignore, ignore, ignore.
FWIW...
Never buy a parking ticket in the first place.
Ignore everything.
Never ever pay a charge, invoice or 'fine'.

After complaining to the manager at M&S Deepdale I have to day received a letter from them saying he has had the ticket issue overturned and I will hear no more from Mr White .co. Thanks to everyone who gave me advice on this forum. I can say I would have gone all the way had a summons arrived, hopefully the letters from Mr white and co will now stop. and I must thank the manager of M&S, at least he got off his backside and did something about it, pity British Land don't follow and sort these privateers out once and for all. and yes it does work to complain as you advised me to do. once again thank you one and all for your advice. :T:T:T0 -
After all that recent flurry of activity by Perky on this forum, I thought you might like to see this posting from him responding to last year's article by Martin in the NOW:-
Although the boss of a very small private parking company, Combined Parking Solutions, I must say I agree with Martin Lewis. The industry is a shambles with far too many thugs and scammers letting us down, many of whom I'm saddened to say I know personally. We need to clear out all the dead wood and start again on private parking enforcement. Great customer service should be at the centre of our philosophy and not just grubby money making. We should aim to have customer "delight" at receiving a ticket rather than just constant moaning and carping by self appointed consumer guardians. As an industry we need to show that the criminal, shaven headed thug placing the ticket or applying the clamp has a heart and is acting in the best interests of society as a whole.

What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
I've left notes on cars at deepdale in the past. Please to hear that Roxburghe/GW are involved. I'd be quite interested to receive a telephone call from "GW".0

That is genuinely hilarious.
"customer "delight" at receiving a ticket" - is that not already achieved? Many people are delighted to receive a ticket as they know it is unenforceable and has cost someone (like Perky) time money and effort, for nothing.
"As an industry we need to show that the criminal, ............ is acting in the best interests of society as a whole." Since when did criminals act in the interests of society?0
