god i wish it was that clear ... theres a lot of methodical stuff too as no-one seems to do the same thing twice making it difficult to conpare and some of the studies do show clear diffs but others dont ...
then theres stuff like age (because twins at the same age are bound to more alike than their parents) and that adoptive families are higher economically anyway so is it a fair conparison ...
putting the words together rather than stating it just like that is where it gets really hard because I seem to have lost my power with words atm in a acadimic way anyway.0 -

Then it might be worth saying something in the conclusion about the unreliability of the evidence making it difficult and that further work needs to be done to provide the evidence for an accurate comparison.
With regards to the words thing, when I get stuck on an essay (which I am right now) I usally forget about the word count. I write it out as clearly as possible, even if that means not using the right technical terms to get it done and then format it later.
Hope this helps0 -

Just pick an area - ie give yourself ranges and stick to them. You've written most of the conclusion in your post. You have to define your range as the research on this subject is immense.
Have you made a plan?0 -
I agree, use the unreliability as evidence why it is still unclear.
For now, can you find two points for nature and two for nurture? Any points!0 -
I find that when given a title for a paper which is too broad, or not specified enough, I add onto the title to make it more specific to the area i think i know best. Then at the end mention in a hundred words or so the many other factors that are affected by it but dont have enough words to write about!
You seem to know a lot about what you are trying to write about on here, just copy and paste your messages from this forum into it and your off!!
Smile, and the best of luck!0 -
at the moment im doing a para attempting to argue that since culture pressure is all very similar then we can expect to turn out quite similar in many way. really not easy as i can see the downside too0

So one argument in favour of nurture is cultural pressure? That's one of your four sorted.
To argue it, say what the point it and give evidence, then go on to give reasons why it may not be so clear cut. Keep it very simple as there is only so much you can say in 250 words.0 -
even if you're not writing the most important things, the more you write now, the easier it'll be to add things in later on
so just write whatever you can, paste the things you've written in here and elaborate a little bit

I just finished my degree in Psychology in july. Try google books, its cheating but who cares, it takes too long to search journals for info and most of these books contain relevant journal info. Alot of the books conatained are in the uni library but google searches the books for keywords and you can usually get alot of information although it gives a limited view.0
