Good Morning, I have just seem Huggies size 1 are now back instock and go through for £10 once you have logged in (I was trying before logging in and it was only showing £7.50 off) but once logged in price was reduced.

Seems to only let you add 6 to the basket at the minute!

I found these yesterday but they didn't go through on 3 for 2 and the SA refused to overide the till, so I didn't bother. :o

I think it should be. I've exchanged something before and paid a bit more. I used an ACM points voucher and the voucher from the baby magazine for £1 off plum baby food for the goods I got in exchange.

    Just say no! lol

I've started packing for a trip, and I can't fit in my bags all the Boots carp I've bought this last year that I'm bringing as gifts; a good bit has to be left here. And I'm really wishing now I'd restrained myself, just got a couple of nice things as gifts, and stopped. The main people I'm shopping for are in tight financial situations and need cash more than all this stuff, and it would make it easier on us if I'd just given a gift card or check to them as I usually would rather than lugging all this stuff around. But I got so caught up in Bootsing that I spent a ton on gifts (even if they were on clearance or earned extra points, it added up), and I would've done better to not get so much.

So I definitely have realized that if you don't need it and don't know who it's for, don't get it. Gifts are better if you picked them out suited to what a specific person wants or needs anyway, rather than giving something simply because it's what you have on hand because it was some kind of deal at Boots. A few extra pressies to have on hand isn't a bad idea in case someone stops by that you didn't expect at the holidays, etc., but you don't need many of those gifts. That's my two-pence worth, lol.

I agree. My bootsing is happily confined to stuff I need or really want (not just want cos it's a bargain!). I tend to collect most points and save most money doing big .com orders. For example, ordering loads of nappies when they are reduced and combining with bonus points for spending £70 + etc That way I always have essential stuff in and never need to nip out and buy stuff urgently, where you can guarantee nothing would be cheap. I also have a stash of Trevor Sorbie shampoo and conditioner :p

I haven't gone in for any of the OOTW, the FCUK bag, the S&G gift sets etc

I then spend my points on things you can't stockpile so easily e.g. baby milk (only the 6 months plus - had to spend real cash with no points or bonus points on the first stage  ) and other stuff you need on a more ad hoc basis.

I also use points to buy pressies for people - what I knew they wanted rather than what was on offer.

You cant exchange cosmetics. i rang CS yesterday to ask if i could take back something and they said NO as it was a cosmetic and they dont refund/exchange cosmetics. Whether it be a single item or a gift set. Unless its faulty.

I thought you could if they were sealed? Most individual cosmetics aren't but sets / palettes etc tend to be.

You could try ringing them yourself, but i can only go on what i was told by CS.

I explained it was a gift set and it was still sealed but they still said NO.

I wasn't arguing with what you were told - sorry if it sounded like I was. I was just querying this as I thought the policy always used to be that sealed cosmetics would be accepted. Anyone actually tried a sealed cosmetics return in store?

I think Mishka you should just try the return - they can only say no!
  • I've returned SEALED cosmetic sets before with no bother, never ring CS just take them in (easier with a receipt but have done it without as well)
