I got 1000pts on lancome offer, 1500 on JK, 400 on acm, and 450 from mailing which MIL gave meThank you
I would have been even happier if it had of been a mega points day too, then it would have been 4350 for £50ish
I'm so not gonna be able to do the boxing day sale but am hoping to go the day after but probably everything will be gone by then :rolleyes:Treasurer and Co Founder of - The Smile It Won't Hurt Club

Look at the 2 completely different examples of an SA's attitude in the Roxy and Rose posts - there are always good and bad of all sorts.
I can't afford to leave big tips when I go to a restaurant (always 2 for 1 meals!), but if I have had good service, I always make a point of asking to speak to the Manager, and complimenting the member of staff.
Similarly, if an SA has been helpful, and gone the extra mile, I will praise him/her, because they deserve it, and everyone likes to be told they're special.
But if I get bad service, I'll always complain to a manager, and follow this up with a phone call/letter/email to Head Office, and I also do this with good service.
Someone said we don't complain enough. I think we do, but we complain to the wrong person, for example, we'll have an unedible meal, and even if we leave 90% of it, when we're asked how it was by a waiter, we'll all chorus "Lovely!" and then once we're outside, and the staff can't hear us we'll say to each other "That was awful!"
Head Offices do like to hear when we're pleased, or otherwise, and I think the worst thing is when SAs talk about you in someone elses hearing. Millions of hugs to you Rose, that was a dreadful and humiliating experience, and Roxy, I hope you make a good recovery, and leave all Christmas preparations to others!

I just went to the large store in the next town to get some Mitchum as it is £1.00 off and I still have some £1.00 vouchers so a can would be .85p. I picked up 4 and asked the girl to put them through seperately and she put 4 through but only took 2 vouchers. I asked if she could void it and put them through seperately and she went off to find a supervisor. She came back with the one I have had a run in with before because she did not want to take my skin care voucher. She made a fuss and said they could not void it as I had used a voucher. I said well dont bother and the other little girl said she would go and get the manager. He simply gave me the extra £2.00 in cash and was really nice.
Then I left but my daughter was still in there and I called to ask where she was and she said the 2 sa's were slagging me off and saying they wished I would go away. So she turned to them and said they should not talk about customers and that I was her Mum. They denied it but she was correct.
So I went back in took the manager to one side and told him I would not come back in his store ( although I know it was not his fault!!) as his staff dont know how to treat customers!! He apologised profusely and I said I would be writing to head office. Shopping in Boots is one of my little pleasures and I dont see why some snotty SA has to ruin it for me. I also did not get a bluey. What is the spend limit for them now?
That's terrible Rose - was it in Bristol as I remember you saying about searching Bristol stores for the S & G Admit it sets. I usually get lovely assistants although the other day I had a right old misery at the pharmacy counter, she couldn't have raised a smile even if she'd had wind!!!
Today I went to use the bluey on the Bourgois sharpener and till wouldn't accept it!!!! Very strange I told the SA as I had got one the day before at another branch. she said maybe they have stopped it-anyone else managed to get one today???
Treated myself to some Urban Retreat shampoo and conditioner today for itchy scalps as i have been suffering badly lately. Can't wait to try it!!! Got 750 points back and the SA gave me 3 more vouchers!!
Someone was asking when the 750 bonus points on JK, R & M. Urban Retreat and Decay ends - it's 30 December according to a sign in the shop today.

Hi SandraScarlett, thanks so much for your well wishes, I think i was a bit to adventurous today with my journey as i'm paying for it now but resting up and reading MSE, my favorite thing to do lol :T and its making me smile everytime I look at my lovely OOTW and remembering how lovely the SA was today, your so right about headoffices liking to hear about good/bad experiences in their stores, its the one of the ways they can improve their customer service.
I sent an email to boots giving my SA name and the store I was in and told them about my fantastic experience I had and how she took such great care of me in my time of need!
Sorry to hear of your bad time Rose, you should definitely put the SA name in an email to boots CS and tell them what happened, you never know they might have had several complaints about her! Otherwise, maybe you should just give us an description of her and then 100 bootsers from here will turn up with our numerous vouchers and also with 100 JK nail files all wanting them put through in separate transactions hehehehe! :rotfl:0 -

I bought one today with no problems!:j0 -

I wonder if the SA was scanning the right bit of the voucher when she served me!!! I have got 2 already but thought might as well get a few more for free and give away!!!! I used one of the Bourgois vouchers on some new liquid eye liner today and was very impressed with it. It was called 'Liner Clubbing' and it is a lovely shimmering brown called Brown Vibes!!!! Cost me £3.82 after using the voucher. SA gave me 3 more vouchers today so will try for the sharpeners another day!!!0 -
Angie100, I wasn't allowed to use bluey on bourgois tweezers today either, says on voucher colour cosmetics so was a no go for the SA. Must be one of the SA dependent ones, got Bourgois glass nail file last week using bluey.
Was worth a try though!!

Hi all,
Didn't expire with man flu, but did feel really bad Thursday night when I kept thinking there were 6 people in bed with me, and then the robots came (last time I saw the robots, I got hospitalised for a week cos I suffered from dehydration, couldn't keep anything in!). Fever's are evil! Feeling a lot better now. Thank God Boots had that huge reduction on Lempsip sachets at my local about a year ago. Normally they are about £4.00, went down to 50p, got about 10 boxes. All gone now mind. We tend to get flu a lot at ours.
I don't know if this offer is still running, but if you pop on to www.eyeko.com and put the password MORE in, it allows you a free chunky LIP BALM. I saw this offer on MSE/RPOINTS about a week ago, would have pointed it out, but most companies just pinch details and never send anything out. Anyway, was very surprised today when mine came through. Ordered one for my neice too. It looks really posh and smells really nice and strawberry like, and apparently the likes of Rihanna are big fans! Like I said, don't know if this offer is still running, but might be good to check it out. Stocks might have run out.
As for the SA problems the young lady had, I wouldn't go all over board and put in a complaint unless the staff were really unnecessary which I think they were in this case. I'm a huge Boots fanatic and am always bouncing around in store. I have seen some SA's that are super mean at times, and pout and glare. But super nice and friendly and chitty chatty at other times. At the end of the day, they are human, and they might have had a bad day. Like the super mean skincare one who was uber nasty to me once is super nice now, in fact, she treats me like royalty when I see her in store these days, and I didn't even put a complaint in.
