I was gonna get some the other day on 342 at £10 each costing £20.
Then i thought if i wait till the S&G gift sets are 50% off in the sale i might get a better bargain.
For example the S&G glove story gift set is £15 in the sale it will be 7.50 each one has a big tub of the butter in plus a bottle of clean on me body wash.
So i could buy 3 of these sets for £22.50. I would get 3 tubs of body butter and 3 body washes plus 3 body glove things. I was gonna pay £20 for 3 body butters so im my logic im getting 3 body washes and 3 body gloves for £2.50.
So definately worth waiting for the 50% off.
But im a great believer that its only a bargain if your gonna use it and not just own it.
That sounds like a good plan!!!!0 -

Lol i have my eye on that S&G set too:D . I agree some of the sets are overpriced but some are good value even at full price (like that S&G one) so are a bargain at half price. I have bought several OOTW this year, and a few of those were done when the 1000 points for a £50 spend offer was on plus i used the extra points codes online. So the way i figure it is that i bought the items at the equivalent of either 50% or 75% off which makes me feel so much better about my spending. I hate looking at the sale prices after xmas and seeing how much extra money i paid for something
Oh and thanks to Little Chicken for posting earlier about the benefit set. I've had my eye on it for a while and am chuffed to bits to have got it for such a bargain price :j x:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -

Contact customer services, number on first page and complain as there are shelf loads of these No7 GWPs around the country no reason why you should lose out. They gave someone else 750 points instead when they phoned and complained!!!!!

i had a virtual basket on .com, with 2 x ootw and a couple of other bits in, went into it this morning, and ootw is now oos...but my basket says i have
-1571 items, so a grand total of -£39,202 - lmao, shame it wouldn't let me check out eh :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: that would have been a very merry xmas indeed!
Ooooh, when it's all been delivered, may we all come round and have a "Here Come The Girls" party?

I also have a code for 1500 points when you spend £100, i think its also on the codes thread. I have been saving my 1 use of this code especially for the sale. So makes it more of a bargain with the code.
Please santa, let me find some of the ''admit it you want me'' sets in the sales, i only managed to get 1 a while back. And i have looked everywhere. I would love some more, so that i can put 1 mini in a favour bag for my mums wedding. As i have managed to obtain enough of the mens No7 GW'sP to use them as the men's favours. Please, please, please. I have been very very good this year.
If anyone spots any please let me know.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
I was looking through the catalogue last night in bed lol to see if there is anything I want but I think even at 50% off most are still expensive. They've all been on 3 for 2 so have probably hardly been purchased individually at the full prices anyhow so it got me thinking about how much of a saving 50% off will really mean to me....Dunno if anyone else has been thining this?????
Angie
I did the sums a few threads back and basically if you buy 3-4-2 gifts to the value of £50 on a 1000 points bonus night plus use an ACM points coupon as well for say another 350 points, then the difference between that and buying in the 50% off sale is !!!!!! all. Two or three percent. Of course you have to spend £50 or over, but it just shows you. It gets even better with the 1/2 price OOTW plus any GWP. My advice back then was to buy what you really wanted in £50 batches on points nights using cash, then keep your points for the 75% off sale.Val.0 -
I just went to the large store in the next town to get some Mitchum as it is £1.00 off and I still have some £1.00 vouchers so a can would be .85p. I picked up 4 and asked the girl to put them through seperately and she put 4 through but only took 2 vouchers. I asked if she could void it and put them through seperately and she went off to find a supervisor. She came back with the one I have had a run in with before because she did not want to take my skin care voucher. She made a fuss and said they could not void it as I had used a voucher. I said well dont bother and the other little girl said she would go and get the manager. He simply gave me the extra £2.00 in cash and was really nice.
Then I left but my daughter was still in there and I called to ask where she was and she said the 2 sa's were slagging me off and saying they wished I would go away. So she turned to them and said they should not talk about customers and that I was her Mum. They denied it but she was correct.
So I went back in took the manager to one side and told him I would not come back in his store ( although I know it was not his fault!!) as his staff dont know how to treat customers!! He apologised profusely and I said I would be writing to head office. Shopping in Boots is one of my little pleasures and I dont see why some snotty SA has to ruin it for me. I also did not get a bluey. What is the spend limit for them now?0 -

thats terrible! you should definitely complain. did he say he was going to speak to the SA's? When i worked in retail it was a disaplinary offence to talk about customers on the shop floor and even if they were a little miffed at you, cant see why though as you were only asking for what is entirely your right, no need to slag you off. very rude behaviour. good on your daughter though!Goals for 2010Current Credit Cards £4500,£4200, £4000, £3000Overdraft £1500 PAID OFF!0 -

Goodness me! I'm so sorry you were treated so abismally. Those Boots SA's want to thank their lucky stars they have a job to go to each day. I think some of them have an over inflated and entirely egotistical self important streak. They are shop assistants for goodness sake. No offence to Shop assistants as i have worked as one myself, but good grief who the heck do they think they are? I know academics and highly professionally educated people such as surgeons who are humble and kindhearted and wouldn't dream of disrespecting anyone in such a way.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200
