  • I will be buying these in BOOTS!

I have recently got spots/zits :( (as a result of trialling Boots facecream!)Want to disguise these as best I can.
    Can anyone recommend a zit-zapper :(
A concealer that works (I can't take my makeup to the loos at work)
Daughter wants to have a manicure with a fine silver line across the white tip - does any one do a nail polish in a pen? The only way I can think of of doing a fine line...

Plus a lip cream/salve that works as daughter has urggh! lips and needs a solution...

    Any advice appreciated :)

I always use clinique airbrush concealer on zits, blemishes and under eye circles, not cheap but works :)
Also, not cheap but can highly recommend Lancome aqua infusion lip balm, revived my badly cracked ones in a couple of days, plus it goes on like a gloss...
And for the manicure, not boots but you can get nail tip stickers (I got mine in an avon manicure kit) that you can place over the nail and paint to create a fine line in any colour :)

  • Got the £25 No7 OOTW today but my store are no longer doing the GWP. It's 3 for 2 on all No7 stuff instead! Shame as I really wanted a GWP - never mind. You win some and you loose some.

were the no 7 gift sets included in this then ?

im off to get the OOTW tomorrow and have my eye on 2 other no7 pieces of make up , if i can combine them it would be great. (i hate the GWP any way)

I phoned CS today as I received a damaged one and she said they wont be having anymore, but dont take this as gospel as sometimes CS are not always correct.

The boots manager that sorted my taxi out earlier also told me that they only had two more left in store and that there is no more shipments of the OOTW coming.

Sorry to those who didn't get any...keep your eyes open during the sales though, i'm sure there will be some returned ones, or alternatively, you could call round the boots shops near you and see if they have some in stock?

I just went to the large store in the next town to get some Mitchum as it is £1.00 off and I still have some £1.00 vouchers so a can would be .85p. I picked up 4 and asked the girl to put them through seperately and she put 4 through but only took 2 vouchers. I asked if she could void it and put them through seperately and she went off to find a supervisor. She came back with the one I have had a run in with before because she did not want to take my skin care voucher. She made a fuss and said they could not void it as I had used a voucher. I said well dont bother and the other little girl said she would go and get the manager. He simply gave me the extra £2.00 in cash and was really nice.
Then I left but my daughter was still in there and I called to ask where she was and she said the 2 sa's were slagging me off and saying they wished I would go away. So she turned to them and said they should not talk about customers and that I was her Mum. They denied it but she was correct.
So I went back in took the manager to one side and told him I would not come back in his store ( although I know it was not his fault!!) as his staff dont know how to treat customers!! He apologised profusely and I said I would be writing to head office. Shopping in Boots is one of my little pleasures and I dont see why some snotty SA has to ruin it for me. I also did not get a bluey. What is the spend limit for them now?

sorry to hear this rose28454 ((hugs)) I hate it when SA are so rude, it really does put you off shopping in that store. I've been put off a few times as we have a couple of bad apples in my local store (all the other SA are lovely) whenever I have a run in with them I avoid the store for a while, but then I think 'sod it' and walk back in with my head held high:D One SA always ignores me when I go to her till - completely blanks me! Another one always complains about my vouchers (but takes them anyway:rolleyes: )and the third one always refuses to take my vouchers. I wish I could name and shame them, but I know that is not allowed on here:)

I hope the manager at the store you were in gives the SA a good talking to. They obviously need retraining:rolleyes:

Honestly, I must be a boots addict lol....I went in today, just to buy some throat sweets cause I have a cold and on my way I wander past the Lancome counter....after speaking to the SA for a bit (she knows me as a regular now :o even asked how work was as she knows I'm a student nurse on my placement :o) she mentions there's a 1000pts offer on, well not one to let an opportunity pass, 10 mins later I had bought some lancome stuff, JK stuff.....spent 50ish got 3350 in points along with a BAG FULL of lancome mini samples (not sachets, proper lil tubes...tons of em..) and all my lancome stuff gift wrapped........I never did make it to the pharmacy :o lol

wow! mrsbluebear, I'm in awe! how did you get 3350 points on a 50.00 spend? I'm starting to panic now as the sale is almost upon us and my points balance is nil:eek:

I received my .com order this morning and booooo they sent me the wrong No.7 offer..they sent me 3 x No.7 skin and body set in the black bag rather than 3x No.7 Ultimate Skin Care Collection OOTW! Unfortunately the reason I had been ordering online was because I had my appendix out a few days ago so venturing outside wasn't really an option BUT obviously by the time they were collected and re-delivered Christmas would be over so I went to the big Boots in town to return and collect the OOTW and I had the NICEST SA in the world, she swapped over my items not a problem and after telling her about my recent surgery she apologised for the wrong delivery, gave me 4 No.7 GWPs (without me asking) and told me I shouldn't be carrying these heavy bags (they are super super heavy..or I m weak!) so she got the manager to call me a taxi and help me down the lift and outside to the street to wait for it, carrying my bags all the way!

Such a fantastic girl, really made my day how nice she was!

I've now wrapped out the OOTW pressies, they are GORGEOUS!!! Very happy Bootser!
I love stories like this:T It's great when you come across a really nice SA. It just makes your day:)
  • I dont need anything else from boots at the minute, but am i the only one who is filling my basket up with goodies in anticipation of the xmas eve sale on .com. I thought it would be easier to add them now then check out quickly if the stuff i have put in my basket is in the sale, rather than spend ages on xmas eve looking for stuff when ill be way to busy prepapring for xmas day.

I did this and thought I was really organised...next time I logged on I had the generic error!
