    Morning chums ,
by jimminy isn't it a chilly one I got up around 6 as I was so uncomfortable in bed.I think my joints siezed up in the night, one of the side effects of 'Arimidex' is stiff joints, which doesn't really help when you have arthritis anyway.Still I'm alive and kicking which is the main thing.
Today I am going to hopefully write out all my Christmas cards and wrap some presents .I also have to go to B&Q to get some vouchers as a birthday present for my DD's FIL. Hope they don't go bust before he can spend 'em.
No shopping to buy though which is good. Think I shall trawl through my freezer for dinner tonight I'm sure that I have some pork fillet which I love done in stuffing in the oven, with some mash.Right thats dinner sorted,Porridge for breakfast methinks as its both warming and filling .Its a thick white frost here this morning and I shall 'layer up' to keep warm.
<<hugs to those who need one >> and I hope everyone has a good day, only 22 more days till Christmas,as you can tell I do love Christmas and all the bits that go with it. My DGS Mikey loved having his first full day at school on Monday, but was very tired by the time he got home. His nativity play is on next week, and his Mum and I will be there with hankies at the ready. He is a Sheppard and his friend 'naughty-Charlie' is a sheep .God knows what will happen on stage. Oh well time for porridge and a cuppa
    take care all,JackieO xx

    Morning Peeps :santa2:,

TRU - I couldn't do that cat litter tray thing..... Not a weeks worth of 3 cats at any rate _pale_
REDRUBY - Well done DD it must be all that homecooking giving her the brain power;)
SUNNYDAY - We have a real tree every year, they don't drop like they used too, and smell delish, we don't have cats, but 3 dogs don't cause a problem.

It's really icy and frosty here today so will not even attempt line dryid sng today:rolleyes:.

Not much on today, in fact nothing on apart from the usual housewifery duties:rolleyes:. T tonight WAS going to be LO HM creamy chicken, leek and potato casserole, but as DH wouldn't stop eating it last night there isn't enough. I got some pork loins out so will bump it up with those and some more new pots. Might make some more hobnobs if i can pull myself of the couch for long enough ;), and maybe whack the BM on, Oh Candygirl how was your bread ?????

Right i'm off to see if my next cuppa is laced with huge amounts of energy and enthusiasim (spelling? :rotfl:)

    Have a good day all

    xx

Hi all; haven't had much time on here lately because I've had a lot going on and have not been doing too much OSing.

I hope everyone is well and lots of (((hugs))) for those who are not. I haven't caught up with the news but, Pippa, I hope you get things sorted - what a dreadful shock.

Happy Birthdays to those I have missed lately and welcome to all the newbies.

I don't know if I have ever mentioned it but my DH's cousin has a gorgeous little girl (3 three years old) who has a form of motor neurone disease, sadly, incurable, and she is not expected to live past the age of seven. She has been in intensive care for the last three days with a virus that the doctors are trying to prevent turning into something much worse. Her Nan (my DH's auntie) lives in France but flew over yesterday because the news is not looking good. The plan was for her to stay the night here but she was understandably desperate to get to see her granddaughter, so DH drove her to the hospital in Somerset last night. He got back here at about 2.30 in the morning and we are all just waiting and praying.

OS-wise, I have just been doing the basics so not much to report there. I did do a massive spaghetti bolognaise last night but DH's auntie was not very hungry so I've frozen half of it for later. I haven't even thought of what to do for dinner tonight so I'd better have a rummage in the freezer.

The weather has been lovely and bright but freezing cold, and I hear that it's been awful further up North and in Scotland, so I hope everyone is coping with it. I hate the havoc it causes so let's hope it warms up soon.

Well, I'll try and keep up with you all today! Sorry if I've put a downer on the thread.

    Morning all,
I'm feeling rather chipper :j after having my first unbroken nights sleep in yonks. My arms/hands let me sleep through until 6am. :T

Have some lentil soup simmering and the WM on. DH has to go to hosp for more tests today so may combine the trip out with some shopping.

Managed to return items bought at Argos and re-buy using the cashback vouchers and saved £30, got home and wrapped them so something done for Xmas.
I must start a meal plan as we are gonna have a full house over Crimble.
Xmas eve day, Me, DH, DD1, DD2, DGd, and SoniL 2b. (6)
Xmas Day, ME, DH, DB2, and 4 of his kids. (staying over) (7)
Boxing Day, ME, DH, DB2, 4 Kids, Dm and OH (9)
Three of them are veggies so any suggestions greatly appreciated, I'm thinking of nutroast but that's only 1 meal for them sorted.

Will make some truffles this afternoon, the sloe gin is doing nicely as I have remembered to shake the kiln jars every day. I bought some lovely little bottles at the discount store to decant, so more pressies sorted. I've been storing bits and bobs for 2 hampers I'm doing for both DDs. I went to the local florist and bought some different coloured celophane to wrap stuff in, I got 50 sheets for £1. It helped when she remembered DH spending a fortune there on my Anniv flowers.

ANNIEB, I hope the bank sorts out THEIR problem so you can ease the worry it must be causing you. Let us know how you get on please.

CANDYGIRL, I'm getting more excited about DD2, I also have spent a small fortune on the little one due in March.

(((((((((( SMOKIE ))))))))))) and all poorlies.

MIOLIERE, Saying prayers for the LO.

Just had an email from Littlewoods offering 3 for 2 on Wedding dresses!! WOT!  is that all about?????????

Sorry to post and dash, just seen the time. Just wanted to say to mioliere how sorry I am about the little girl. I shall remember her in my prayers. It makes you realise just how lucky you are not to have to have that sort of worry in the family. ((hugs)) to all.

Good morning all, hope everyone is well or perks up soon. Its a lovely day at the moment.DH & DS set off very early this morning to try to catch up,they never got to work at all yesterday due to the snow. The traffic on the main road at the end of the street was just gridlocked till about 11 o'clock yesterday am.Lots of people just left their cars, and you couldnt get on the motorway which is where DH wanted to go.Meant to be 8 inches falling tonight (gulp)- the dog will enjoy it,he kept getting giddy every time he was out.
I did make some Rocky Rd yesterday, but that was it,never get as much done when theyre around.
The washers on,and another lot waiting.Bedrooms tidied, bedding stripped, and bathroom done with Starclens.I need to bring some more logs in-used a lot last night. Our bins never got emptied yesterday, cant see it getting done till next week now.Luckily there is plenty of room due to me not wasting food anymore ;)
My cards are ready for posting now,but I'm not walking to the Post Office today, still too icy underfoot to go far on the pavements-I'll risk crossing the road to the field opposite for the dog to have his walk.I made the Pearl anniv card yesterday,I'm pleased with it.
Pippa-hope you get your money sorted soon, what a rotten thing to happen, sadly all too common these days.
Right time to get the boots on to go out with the beast.Hope its a good day for everyone.x
