I'm now with Madasafish and very impressed with the speed at which the migration was accomplished. How long before I get a refund cheque from e7? (still got the CCoption)

Looks like Mike Todd might have left.
I copied him on an email today and it got bounced.
It could of course be that he has changed his email as too many people knew it !

I emailed e7even today, didn't get a ticket, but got an email back after 2 and half hours stating this. I phoned home and said try the internet and was told it's working.

After being offline for the whole weekend............. this morning I was able to connect, wonder for how long?
I have asked for my MAC is it correct that I cannot migrate to another iSP until I receive it?
I am still pondering over which isp to go to..........and without getting the refund from e7 it is going to be very difficult financially pay the new isp

Unfortunately this is the case.

E7 are having problems obtaining MACs from their network provider so the quickest way to leave may be to cancel the service altogether and sign up with a new ISP from scratch.

The problems with this method are that you'll be without internet for a while during the switch (hopefully less than 2 weeks) and you'll be liable for any setup charges made by the new ISP, though many will waive this if you sign up for 12 months.

Obviously this doesn't help the financial side of the equation. You have my sympathy as I'm in exactly the same situation - E7 contract runs to October but I'm tempted to get out now and swallow the cost / claim back from E7 or my credit card provider :mad:

I hate to be cynical but should we really be having this conversation here? This forum's called 'Internet Access' and it looks like there's a big chunk of us to whom this doesn't apply!!!

The website is currently offering monthly packages only...
