Gah. I have to go onto effing bedrest. I'm supposed to fly to England tomorrow, and instead I will be in my bed in Germany hoping that being horizontal will keep the beastie in place long enough to bake.
Oh, right, I'm pregnant
But don't get too excited. I'm only six weeks in and it's already getting complicated.
Many congratulations and get back to bed!!! If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Get back to bed!!
Having a moral money dilemma. I was on Quidco, noticed the cashback for Evans had gone up and thought ooh Ill have a look on there for a present for Mum. 10% cashback, 20% sale... Now..I've got PJ's in my basket which I know she will like, I also have 2 tops which she is highly likely to want to take back as she has only just started wearing jumpers after losing lots of weight. I'm really unsure what to do. I can take them back to the store so no probs, and they are only about £7 each. However....the delivery charge is £4 and none of the free del codes work. So...if I take the 2 tops back to the shop, essentially I'm paying an extra £4 ontop of the PJs ....so they may as well NOT have had any money off.....see the dilemma?!? wasting £4 on deliveryany one got any thoughts? I'm in a right pickle!

well, i've just got back from woolies and guess what guys?? yep, i've FINISHED my xmas shopping  :T spent £106  but it should have come to over £142, so that makes me feel a bit better:rotfl:
loads of bargains to be had. some stuff 50% off, but a lot of stuff already heavily reduced, plus 20% off that!
i got some gorgeous little tea-for-one sets (you know, the teapot that stacks on top of the mug?), a penguin one, which was originally £5 but had been reduced to £2. then took the 20% off making it £1.60 :T got two of those.
lots of other stuff, and bought quite a few pressies for ds too!
feeling a lot more 'sorted' now0 -
Hi, can I join in please
I try to organised etc but don't always manage it, sometimes I fall by the wayside!!
I love reading the Christmas threads and have a long list of things to try and make
Would love to be money neutral too - I try hard at that as well - since joining MSE I have joined Quidco, survey sites etc. I do find that the survey sites and Pigsback seem not to be so good now or is that me. (Particularly Pigsback - I have 546 points for ages now!!
anyway hope I can join0 -
hi cbsexec
Pigsback has gone rubbish! Onepoll is quite good but need £40 to cash it out, but short frequent surveys on there.Add your list!

even as the lady was serving me i was feeling guilty. unfortunately we can't afford to pass up such good offers, with our budget right now... such a shame for all the staff - couldn't have come at a worse time either could it
but i have to remember we didn't throw them out, i just feel really bad and guilty
My FIL had to convince me that they'd be fine and the housing people would look after them as I was nearly in tears the other day
Anyway...Woolies are probably glad they are clearing the stock so I wouldnt worry

Hi RoxieW
I think I need to go lie down in a darkened room! I got an email saying you had replied to my cry for help on the previous page, but can't find it. Sorry to be a pain! Chris0 -
Hello Girlies
Have been reading the old threads and came across this. Pleaseplease can I come in to play? Love Christmas, love saving money (not very good at it), and love crafts - right up my street. Having read everybody's posts, remembered I hadn't claimed some 'rewards vouchers', so am now £200 infront for 2009 (£50 M&S voucher, £50 Amazon vouchers and £100 Morrisons vouchers) GR8!Poor and content is rich enough!0 -
I get the fits of the guilts too. The house we are attempting to buy is a repo and the kids wallpaper is killing me
but i have to remember we didn't throw them out, i just feel really bad and guilty
the house we're in at the moment was a repo. i felt exactly the same as you!!!
the day after we moved in a huuuge burly bloke came walking down our drive (200ft drive with big gates at the front, so didn't just wander in by accident) well, i freaked, thinking it was someone coming to beat us up for buying the house:rotfl:
turned out it WAS the bloke who lived here before, but he'd come to collect a couple of bits he'd left behind. we've lived here for almost 2 years now, and he's quite friendly with my dad now (we bought this place with my parents and split it into 2), and quite often pops round to see him.
it wasn't such a sad story as i'd imagined in my mind, and in the end he said he was glad to get rid of the house as it meant no more debt for him.
so it probably isn't as sad as you imagine. and it's through no fault of yours that this happened to them ((hugs))0
