GOd, I look away for a day or two and there's a whole new 11 page thread to catch up on.

I've just increased my christmas workload by deciding to host a mulled wine and mince pies (I wrote mice pies first... nice) afternoon on the solstice at my house. Emailed a few friends and they ALL said yes within a few hours - that never happens! Now got to get baking, along with all the other baking I do. Oh, and one is a vegan so I'm going to have to mkae vegan cupcakes again for him (do it quite often as he's rather partial to them...) Anyway, tomorrow will be a big present disbursement day as I am meeting old friends and we always buy for each others kids. Well, normally I am crap and never have them ready by our Christmas meet but this year I have them all, already wrapped, with homemade tags AND handmade Christmas cards! I feel so damn smug. Feel free to kick me.

Wow you guys have all been busy, busier than me I have to say... ;)

This year I have done surveys for Valued Opinions (pay vouchers), Pinecone (pay luncheon vouchers) and edigitalresearch (pay £ after you get to £15). I have clocked up £30 Amazon vouchers from VO; £9 luncheon vouchers from Pinecone (only joined recently and done 3 surveys!) and over £140 from edigital research. Hoping to do more next year and use the vouchers/money towards Xmas 2009! I have recently placed my first order via Quidco thanks to Pinkladymel ;) so intend using that a lot more next year to get some £ that way too.

    Here's to a fab Xmas 2008 and 2009

Gah. I have to go onto effing bedrest. I'm supposed to fly to England tomorrow, and instead I will be in my bed in Germany hoping that being horizontal will keep the beastie in place long enough to bake.

    Oh, right, I'm pregnant :)

But don't get too excited. I'm only six weeks in and it's already getting complicated.

gosh cant stop posting this aft -

just bought some gifts from oxfam umwrapped for ds1's school, ds2's nursery and our local doctors (who we have alot of dealing with unfortunately, for one reason or another!). Got 100 school dinners for a school in Africa for the schools and 100 childrens health checks for the surgery. Just thought I'd mention it as each gift was £6 which i thought was really good value for money, and something abit different to the boxes of chocs and biscuits that they get at this time of year. :)

I love this idea - just bought 100 school dinners. Thanks so much for the info.

Have to say that does happen to me too. I've clocked up the vouchers since about March time. Surveys do seem thinner on the ground more recently. Keep trying them bunbun :D
