Another couple of hours of wrapping, thought Id gone mad, couldnt find the Paul Ogrady book Id brought for mum,........ found it at the back of her chair, she'd started reading it!
Just got dd main prezzies to wrap, didnt do them today as I raided 8 batteries from dads supply, thats without the 12 I already needed.
As for presents, what isnt brought now is tough luck, I have 3 spare womens presents, 2 spare blokes, and big bag of pick and mix presents for boys and girls incase dd gets any from school.
Tomorrow is mince pies, Sat, takeing dd to cinema (£1.00 kids movies), she wants Madagaser 2, but told her sold out for the 1st weekend...... (awaits telling off!!), as for Sunday havent quite got anything planned.
I start Open Uni again in Feb, so trying to get in swing of doing everything Mon to Fri, so got weekends free and not get stressed up. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
This afternoon did not go as planned!!
[STRIKE]
1. Go buy lil bro's birthday cards
2. Buy dinner for tonight
3. Get bits from boots[/STRIKE]
4. Change beds
5. Get at least 2 loads of washing done
So on tomorrows list will b the last 2 things, DD1 still has a bit of a cough so I think I will keep her off tomorrow and make sure shes 100% rather than spread it round her friends! so no doubt she will hinder proceedings but my plan tomorrow is to get on here and make my list for teh day and get it all done along with going to lunch with my cousin for a good old gossip and she wants to meet lil Emma for her 1st cuddles!!

The book choice could of been worse - it could of been the Karma Sutra!! Thou at her age (shes 63), I doubt she'd get past the introduction!!
Will give you all a laugh, my dd choose some of her xmas presents, gave her £5.00 for my mum and £5.00 for dad, so she felt that she had actually choose and paid herself (shes very clever with money!!)
Dads present (hes 70), she brought him a pair of gold thongs, and a pair of boxed underpants, on closer inspection of box, there special underwear they have a escape hole at the rear for air to escape!!
Mums present -she choose a pink glitter steering wheel cover, and a matching pink warmer for the back of the rear view mirror...........best bit, my mum doesnt drive......dad does!!!xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
:T well done you and thanks for the comment on my blog
OK...before you start for 2009 you need to sort this cupboard out. Make a list of all people you buy for. Some people I ask what they want, some people just get a gift. Can you use these gifts for any of the latter type people? If NO, eBay or bootsale 'em and get cash to buy other presents with. They will not be doing their job if they are collecting dust. That is your task before you go near a january/pre-xmas sale! I always make sure I need the bargain/have a real person in mind, rather than 'just in case' - good to have a few of those, but not too many as you that isnt very MSE!! I used to buy 'cos it was a bargain, but it isnt a bargain if you dont need it!!! I am the JamSlaveDriver tonight
In my notebook I have a list of what I have bought people each year so I dont get them the same thing again. I'm sure my friend used to get a bag followed by a watch followed by a bag followed by a watch...so had to write it down to ensure I didnt do that!
Happy for you to organise me into saving money whilst decluttering at the same time!! I'll try and sort the cupboard out Jammy I promise!!!0 -
