    Ok I've made my list;

    Done:
All prezzies bought/made & wrapped (bar finishing touches to daughter's calendar)
spare bedroom ready for daughter who's staying over christmas night (except a quick vac)

    To do before christmas:
    [strike]vac spare room[/strike]
    [strike]tidy & clean up rest of house[/strike]
    [strike]grocery shopping[/strike]
    [strike]finish daughter's calendar & wrap[/strike]
make table decoration Failed miserably with this but hubby bought me a lovely white cyclamen which worked rather well and will last longer than just one day.
get chocs for milkman Failed to do this but then he didn't get me any either ;)
[strike]visit brother-in-law in hospital & make sure sister-in-law is not on her own for christmas day [/strike]
(And - stop trying to read all the posts on all the threads on MSE - just one more cup of tea, then I'll make a start - I think I'm hooked);)

    To do for after christmas:
    de-clutter
find more ebaying stuff & list
    make a proper budget
    make a proper schedule

I'm off work this week so I should have it all done in plenty of time, fingers crossed.

Well I achieved most of what needed to be done but my daughter gave me a lovely dose of flu christmas day, which I'm still recovering from, so I didn't get on here to update. Glad most of you had a good day, commiserations to those who didn't and hugs to eveyone who needs them.
Happy new year everyone - Onwards and upwards towards a money neutral, organized 2009 :j

Hi everyone, the Rudolph Club is a great idea. I have a few bits kept over from gifts received this year and I bought some wrapping paper in the Wilkinsons sale. The other main thins I have to concentrate on this year are OH's 30th birthday in August and DD'd Girls Brigade Camp which is going to cost £180 and I want to do thison money I "earn" on the internet like doing daily clicks and slice the pie etc. I have just been paid £10 from Cashinco and have another couple of payments waiting to go in m bank, think about another £30 so that will be a start. Think it has to be paid by June.
As for OHs birthday I am going to do the 30 presents and already bought some last year throgh out the year. I have about ten so far I think, mostly things to do with the year he was born like the single that was number one when he was born and a set of coins from 1979. His main present at the moment is a scrapbook with 30 pages in and a page for each year showing photos of him and his family plus me and my family for he same year and photos of other things happening around the world that year. I have finished about 5 pages completely and have most of the pics saved on the computer ready to print out. I have had a bit of trouble with the printer though as it doest seem to like using the gloss photo paper and keeps saying its got a paper jam when I put the paper in alone or if I put normal a4 underneath it takes the photo paper and then a piece of a4 as well so when it comes out half the photos are on photo paper and the other half on norml a4. its wasting a lot of ink so I keep leaving it and trying again another day. Still I am getting there slowly but surely.
I wont need to make any birthday cards for a while as I used to make up card making kits a few years back to sell on Ebay and I used to make up a set of cards for each set to show what the people could make with the kit. These cards all went in a shoe box and I am still using them now.
I have one birthday to buy for in January, thats my youngest Grandson. Not sure what to get him yet.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Taking a break before taking the decorations down, its ds1 b'day tomorrow, he's now into double figures agggggggggghhhhhhhhhh, why do our babies grow up :( Got all his pressies to wrap up as well, wish I'd been a bit more organised for it but hey ho, OH has borrowed some dvds so I can wrap & watch :)

Went sale shopping with my lil sis today, got 2 "Martini mug"s from Sainsburys, £1.25 each to put with posh tea leaves & strainer for my pregnant SIL, she's a party goer & a tea addict so perfect for her in her current position. Also picked up a few other bits n bobs to go towards pressies/hampers, really worth looking around the Sainsburys christmas gifts at the moment, they really are going for good prices. Now I wait for boots 75% off & other shops lowering prices again.

Love the cards pml, I want those stamps! glad you managed to get electric from that Spar, its frequently broken these days:mad: & its always nice to be thought of, well, nearly always  Rudolph club sounds fab, count me in.

Shall be present & correct on Monday jamtart, ready to get started:j

Thank you for all the lovely comments on my card you guys are the best :)

I made it through to the second round on Scrapbook Apprentice and my next lot of work is up now if you want to see it (I am not allowed to post pictures of it anywhere *sigh*) http://creativitylifemag.blogspot.com

I would just like to say a huge thank you to everyone for supporting me. You made my month and gave me such an ego boost. As a tired mommy who has been pregnant or baby in toe for 3 years now it was hard to have any faith in my own work but you really boosted me up xx

I went to Asda today and bought Disney princess wrapping paper and Winnie the Pooh paper 10m 40p a roll. Homebase had a 10% off everything sale so I purchased some Yankee candle tarts for 44p and votive 60p. These will go great towards gifts in the year.

Don't you hate it when you wish you could go back and buy more in hindsight ARGH!!

Rufusd!!!2 Put the slider down on your printer to envelope and when the warning comes up about it being on just tell the computer it is ok. This is what I do when it won't accept my glossy paper and it works a treat.

  • Aren't you all clever with your crafts?i would LOVE to be able to do all that but i'm the sort of person who just makes a mess and sprinkles glitter on top!but those are all GORGEOUS and i'm completely jealous!!
As for next cristmas i have bought my mum, nanna and sisters presents already, the knieces and nephews are all getting £10 spent on them in Disneyworld in November (can't wait!!), so just dad, grandad and the little one to buy for!!! oh, and stepdad is going to get a home grown flower in a hand decorated plant pot for his garden from my little girl-any ideas what would be just about ready to flower in December but easy to grow?
Hope everyone enjoyed new year- i was ready for bed by 11 but had to stay up unfortunately!!!can't stay the pace nowadays!!!
