    ..xx
I am only me, no pretences, no second guesses.. It's the best I can do, I'm sorry if that's not good enough for you... I'm sorry I'm not good enough for you :A
  • Mel, you haven't let anyone down, you have helped us all get organised throughout so at the end we were capable of standing on our own two feet - THANK YOU :T :T :T :T

Making christmas dinner (take 2) tomorrow is helping me do my christmas section of my folder, am keeping notes of timings, whats needed etc to type up later, shall also note down what works & what doesnt.

Picked up some bargains yesterday & today in the sales, but not many, shall wait now for prices to go down a bit more. Grabbed some wrapping paper, 50p for 5m of silver wrapping paper in asda, fab for any occasion. My sister works in a card shop so is grabbing me 18rolls of 6for£1 2m patterned wrapping paper (minus her 40% discount) should keep me going for a bit. Havent found any nicely priced cards yet so shall hold back on those for a bit longer - if need be I have enough classical christmas cards to keep me going next year.
Also picked up a pretty pad, a folder & a diary to make notes in, shall have to start with a list of how much I've spent so far, lol.

Thanks JS you are a sweetheart xx I will definitely try next year to stop running about after everyone else and concentrate a bit more on me!!

Sylphraven, love the sounds of your bargains.. I went past Malinslee the other day and thought of you haha! Had to pop in the Spar and get some electric for my mom. The Shropshire Lad HAS gone OMG how weird does that look!!

PML Welcome back you have been missed!! both on here and in my inbox with daily reminders of Christmas but you didn't let any of us down and loads of us got sickly (hope you didn't catch it from me!!). You will have an even better Christmas in 2009 as you'll have all of this years ideas and energy to put into it!

Sorry to hear you are still poorly please get well soon!

Good luck with the apprentice only a few days to go and you won't be kicked off first so well done xxx
  • Glad to see you back PLM!! Sorry things didn't work out as you planned but imagine if you hadn't organised anything!! Concentrate on getting better now - I'm sure your little ones still had a great day.

Went shopping today and got a lot of stocking fillers in Woolies plus enough trinkets to cover DD1's friends birthdays and Christmas. Superdrug had a 49p bin full of girly make-up so I stocked up on that too. Also picked up 8 Christmassy mugs for 64p each in Dunelm Mill - that's for the teachers next year with some Snowman Soup!

I'm determined to make my own cards next year but as I am a bit artistically- challenged I got two boxes of 'Make Your Own Cards' from The Works - 49p for each box with 6 cards.

Think I spent about £20 in total - that includes some t-shirts and hats for the girls for summer. I'm making sure I keep the receipts as I am aiming to be 'Money-Neutral' next year - a good start and it's not even 2009!!

ahh pml I missed you :A - and you definitely didn't let anyone down - if it wasn't for you I never would have discovered organized christmas and would have been stressing about same as last year. Next year will be doubly exciting for you because you will even more determined to have a great christmas because of this one. I hope we'll all be together for next year to help you with it.
Next year I definitely need to come up with some ways of not having to run around so much on the actual days - eve, day and boxing day cos that's all I seemed to do. I was exhausted by the end of it and enjoyed the days after more cos I could be lazy.

I'm missing jammy too - where is she? hope not laden down with flu like everyone else!

Tigger - like the sounds of your bargins.

Ahhh Mel, can't believe you were ill, you were soooo organised! Hope you are on the mend now though x

Thanks to everyone I had a magical xmas, myself and DH were very worried around supper time on xmas eve though - things were too organised and we had feelings of dread thinking we had forgotten something, but no that was thanks to all of you! THANK YOU ALL.

So now my eldest DS is 7, and am loosing the xmassy feeling fast. Having people over tomorrow night for Hogmanay, so that should hold off my dreaded January feeling. However it shouldn't be such a long month this January, few pounds in the bank, thanks to joining MSE, feeling positive that 2009 is gonna be brill!

Don't think I'll be on again for a couple of days but Happy New Year to you all when it comes!

    Kalojac xx

Here goes to the 2009 list, aim to be money neutral.

The arrangement we have is I take care of presents, in theory some people recieve 3 presents, 1-parents, 1 x me, 1 x dd

Elcluding, mine, mum, dads and dd.

    Birthdays
    Jan - 0
    Feb - 5 (£70)
    Mar - 2 (£40)
    Apr - 0 (£0)
    May - 2 (£30)
    Jun - 3 (£45)
    Jul - 1 (£10)
    Aug - 2 (£60) - One of my good friends her 40th - need £40.00 vouchers
    Sept - 1(£10)
    Oct - 2 (£30)
    Nov - 2 (£25)
    Dec - 0 (£0)

    Estimate money needed £320.00

    Mothers day - £20.00
    Fathers day - £20.00

    Christmas Presents -
Again not including, me, mum, dad, or dd.

    34 people - £420.00

That doesnt include any teachers, pupils etc.......

    Est total £780.00

Compared to 2008, this has drastically reduced the amount of people we buy for and the amount of money allocated on them.

I have got some presents already, left from 2008 supply, recycled, and sale items, (which are money neutral - courtesy of shopping vouchers!!).

    x
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
