  • hi

I've been reading this thread (and the organised christmas and money neautral thread before they combined forces!) but didnt post as i couldnt work out how to register! :rotfl:
I'm 19 but want to start saving my money for a deposit and this seemed like the best thread. I've already worked out who im buying for this year and have bought 4 gifts in the sales already all for under a tenner and am hoping to get some more! And since reading this thread i've been inspired to start scrapbooking and make my own cards!

Hope this post isnt too long!

Hiya LouPenguin.. Welcome to MoneySavers and to our thread :) The post wasn't too long and we love people who ramble on here.. that's why they allow me to post ;)

You will have to show us the things you have made, I would love to see! JamTart will be along soon to start us all off on becoming money neutral and you wouldn't believe that amount you can save from bargain hunting and internet deals. All of those saving equal deposit, right? LOL

    Welcome xx

  • Hi,

    Happy New Year to everyone!

I can officially start my thrifty living now! Next week when dds go back to school I shall be going round the sales searching for bargains, along with returning a few bits, tho I need to decide if they can be used for someone else during the year for birthdays. For all birthdays, of which I have a lot to buy for, they are all going to be £5 and under I've decided, or paid with points/cashback or vouchers.

Have been feeling very unwell since Xmas day afternoon and only really now on the mend. Some type of flu/chest infection, but managed to beat it without seeing doctor, tho had only just got over a chest infection about 10 days before.

Also had a NSD today, as was at MIL and didn't have to cook which was lovely, but then started to feel ill again so just sat quietly for the rest of day until we were ready to go home, can't e feeling to bad now as have nearly gone through a whole tube of maltesers!

Hoping the new year is going to be better for us health wise!

I like the sound of the Rudolf club, have got some bits sorted already:rolleyes: (bits for xmas that i don't want) that i have to decide whether to ebay them or hamper them :rotfl: and now i have to wait for my birthday to get lots of craft bits as the only money i am allowed to touch is the tips i got from work (£20!!! )the rest shall have to wait, lol:rotfl:

I shall be ready and waiting with my list of what i have done on the 25th of this month :D (although i may not have done a lot as my birthday is 4 days after so you know:o )

.................. oh yeah and i almost forgot.....................................
