    Hi everyone,

Just found this thread ( well it was actually a while ago but it took me ages to read all the posts!) and I'd like to join please.
I have already got quite a few Birthday and Christmas presents from the Jan sales and enough Christmas cards for next year.
I'm not particularly crafty but very keen to learn and pick up ideas. What I did do this year was to make some pots of gold, reindeer food and 3 hampers. I have also recycled my Christmas cards into gift cards using wavy craft scissors and a flower hole punch that I bought from the pound shop.
I also want to start making homemade cards, Mel I have just voted for you, your cards are lovely.

Hello Oats :D Thank you so much for your vote that is so kind of you xx I kind of take over the thread showing my craft stuff off but there is no crafting passion needed to join our thread!! I love your idea about making gift tags and wish I had a lot of birthday presents saved up like you have :) Welcome and I hope you love it here!!

    Hi
I'd love to join in & be Money Neutral, I try to earn extra money to 'pay' for Christmas by selling stuff I make.

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I won, I won, I won!
It just came to me as a fun idea..

I started a money tin last year in october to pay for christmas. I managed to save 60 pounds and we all went to Thomas Land. I would love to do this now and keep piling in as much money as I can without keeping tabs on it and really getting rid of that spare change so I don't pop into the garage and 'just have a twix' or 'that magazine won't hurt'...

Is there anyone else who is going to join me in starting a sealed tin and not keeping track of how much we put in. I thought it would be so cool to open them together in october on our thread birthday and see how much we have for Christmas :)
I am in,i also did a sealed tin last year, every Sunday i used to put in all my loose change in the tin, sometimes it was only 50p,other times £6.00. it all adds up. I opened mine in Oct and had £225.00. :j I had already decided to start my new tin this Sunday and i will be putting any change in the tin every Sunday.

    Hi mel,
my birthday is on the 29th:D Sorry if this has been mentioned before, there's a thread on here somewhere, called sealed pot challenge 2009, i've taken part, and you can put as little or as much in as you like.

Sorry if that doesn't make sense, my computer is having a seizure. Will have to take it in to be fixed.

Im in for the sealed jar thing
I got a lovely winnie the pooh tin this year for Christmas
Have yet to open this years tin which I only started sticking money in in July
But i only stick £2 and 50ps in my sealed jar :)
but saying that I dont have any coins in my purse other than £1 so the rest get thrown in a money box and randomly cashed in at the bank - just to say the rate you have to pay on those coinstar machines is disgusting I was going to dump my money in one and then I realised its something like 10% goes to the machine - and if you dont count it in advance how do you know it hasnt robbed you - and if your counting it up any way wheres the harm in putting it in money bags n depositing it into a bank - note some banks only allow 5 money bags to be deposited at a time but if its fairly quiet my bank lets me deposit a fair few more than the 5 :)
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together
