I had the option to buy my last 3 xmas presents with my £50 qype voucher that arrived this morning. wii remote, xbox game and mamma mia and £3 change.

But how bad am I??!? I bought the collectors edition of Tales of Beedle the Bard instead! @ £50 !!! OOPS!! I felt guilty at spending £50 cash, so with thevoucher it was technically free ! cant WAIT to get it!! :)

PLM - Joe Bloggs..how sad are you?! It's all about FRUIT OF THE LOOM!! :D lol!!!!!!!!!! my pink neon lycra cycling shorts were by far my favourite item of clothing. ye gods if i ever tried a pair on now...eek!! Good plan on the jeans. I have very flattering skinny flare jeans which I could happily tack some sequins too for the night! 70s = far too much lycra!!!

    afternoon all

I'm becoming addicted to this thread and its not even 2009 yet!
I love seeing everybody's list of things to do for the day and for xmas I must start my own in preparation for 2009!

Think I will start with this afternoon rather than xmas just yet

    1. Go buy lil bro's birthday cards
    2. Buy dinner for tonight
    3. Get bits from boots
    4. Change beds
    5. Get at least 2 loads of washing done

Think that will do for now, I must write an xmas one later though so I can break down what needs doing!

With Quidco, i have my own card but only have 4 spots as I didnt know anyone to do it with me. If anyone wants to help me they r more than welcome xx

    Hi
Can I join you in an attempt to be more organised for Christmas 2009. I thought I was doing ok until I read how organised all of you are.
I have 1 more present to buy, and 2 cards (for DH and parents) but no cards are written and no presents wrapped.
I am hoping to be more creative next year and do more handmade things for people as a way of saving money and making things more personal.

Sarah... what does your husband think about all this? Mine loves christmas like me but he still thinks I am nuts. There is a joke in his family where they always say "Oh mels got her notepad with her.. write that down.." because I am always working things out and scribbling them away!! Who's laughing now!!!

My OH Lets me get on with it( he's always thought I was a nutter LOL:rotfl: ), he knows it will all come together in the end, but must admit he's been impressed this year at how well we have done, even caught him checking the OC Planner a few times checking what needs doing;) .

Same as you friends and family take the mick in September about my note books and lists but they don't at this time of year when I'm putting my feet up and doing christmassy stuff with the kids, while they run around like Headless chickens LOL:D

Thats why I have made close Friends and Family OC Planners of their own ready for next year... Get em all organised thats what I say!!
    :D:D:D:D:D
Where's the Coffee?? Show me the Coffee NOW!!

Pinkladymel - that bauble is fantastic - I love it. Hope your little ones are getting better.

Sarah191979 - my OH has let me get on with Xmas this year (to be honest he didn't have much choice :D). He's moaned a bit about the amount of 'stuff' everywhere but I think he's completely relieved that he doesn't have to enter a shopping centre or make a decision about what to buy as I've done it all. The only thing he needs to think about is something for me ;)

    Things done today so far...

I've tried piping names onto gingerbread hearts this morning and it ain't as easy as I thought it would be

Also made 10 more cards so I think that's me done for handmade cards (made about 30 altogether). Everyone else can have a box card as I haven't got the time to make any more :D

Also done 3 loads of washing, looked after DS2, made lunch and put him to bed. Now off to hang washing on airers, make a cuppa and sit down for half an hour before we leave to pick up DS1 from school. Are the days getting shorter as I seem to get less done each day this week
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain
