Sarah I didn't view your post as nasty. I just am really soft hearted so I saw it as you thinking I was forgetting about you and I couldn't bear that!! I love your new broken down into times list. It is like the closer we get to christmas the more amazingly organised you are. I love it!

SugarSpun Sounds like Dh is in for a nice christmas then Sometimes I just go crazy shopping for underwear too.. other times (and this is getting more and more the older I get) it's the giant pants for me EVERYTIME!

Rainmac I'm glad that you could understand my Quidco ramblings. When i first used it I couldn't understand it at all but when you know how it is so simple. I can't believe the amount of things you have made and plan to make. I think these home made things really make Christmas special.. and what it is about. I can't even tell you the way I felt this morning when I read that you wanted to vote me for post of the month. I will sound like a saddo now but I'll confess anyway.. I always wanted friends that did this sort of thing for me. Friends who you don't have to ask to support you and friends who take the time to notice when you are not around.

LouBoB I think that Quidco is the best but it is a matter of personal opinion. Go check it out and see how much cashback you could be getting and how that compares with Nectar. Welcome to the thread

I don't think I have posted on this thread before, but I read it every day. I am so glad that there are others out there who feel the same way I do about Christmas, I am so excited, I'm putting my tree up on Saturday whilst drinking a glass of bubbly. I don't think my OH will appreciate it if I add a christmas movie as well, but I'll try. I only have 2 more presents to get, just waiting for pay day and everything else is wrapped, so all I have to do is add the ribbons and decorations to the presents and put them under the tree.

Sarah... what does your husband think about all this? Mine loves christmas like me but he still thinks I am nuts. There is a joke in his family where they always say "Oh mels got her notepad with her.. write that down.." because I am always working things out and scribbling them away!! Who's laughing now!!!


Christmas Turkey
I know that a lot of people will by buying their birds fresh and already have them ordered but for those of us who buy them frozen.. PLEASE get them soon. I know there seems to be a lot of them right now but there is a shortage this year. Remember we had the bird flu outbreak? Then a fortnight ago the turkey farmers went on strike. Get your turkeys!!

The cheapest I have seen is Asda but I am not sure if anyone else can find one cheaper. I know they was doing the cheap crowns in Aldis but I can't be bothered to travel there LOL
