I had EXACTLY the same thought yesterday!! The camera was stood on the shelf for a good ten minutes so I thought 'Shall I just leave the store' but didn't in the end because most of the staff know who I am as I shop there on quite a regular basis :D

Just easier to have a look at the camera, turn the box around and check the model number.Tell the Argos employee that you'd read on the web that sometimes Argos were issuing the european model of the camera instead of the uk one (Not true obviously but they don't know that!!!)

Also, for anybody still looking for an A7,the Argos at Cheshire Oaks had 5 in stock (Of the A6's that is) as of close of play on Sunday. We bought a couple (One for me and for the bro in law) and on both occasions they produced the A7.Happy days!!! :D

Reserved one online from the Plymouth (non Extra) store. Would have been happy with a A6, but down came an A7. From first glance it looks like an excellent camera. Much better than the Medion and Premier cameras Woolies had on offer before Christmas at half price (£49.99). I've used both those cameras and they take terrible pictures. The Premier has permanent red eye and the Medion just can't get the light settings right.

£230 saving - excellent! Thanks pistolero!

Liverbird - Which store in Liverpool gave the flase start, and which gave the result. I'm off tomorrow and was thinking of taking a trip into town.

Avoid Paradise St.......go to St Johns.
  • I hope the folks that are getting just the A6 on customer view are asking for the A7?

I was in store on Sat (behind someone else in the queue who immediately walked out after seeing the A6 box) and had an A6 brought out as well. I simply pointed out that the newer version should now be in stock with the same stock code but A7 on the box. 2 minutes later my A7 came out.

    Thanks OP.
