It takes great pics, has loads of functions and the best bit for a girly... it has jazzy flashy lights on the frontwhen you switch it on :rotfl:
Seriously.... I've been really impressed with everything. It's compact, pretty easy to use and the battery life is better than other cameras I've used.
One thing my hubby did say was the the accessory pack is rubbish. It contains a case which is the same as the one with the camera and the rechargeable batteries are rubbish. He took it back and bought me a Uniross rechargeable battery pack with much better batteries in it.
Does the camera come with a case? If it does, is it the exact the same as the one you get in the accessory pack? So in the accessory kit there is another case, and the batteries, and charger.
Thanks:cool:0 -

got an A7 at last. First of all went into St Helens store and explianed about the product numbers and the more up to date model but they were having none of it saying that the A7 was far more expensive than the a6 and if i wanted it order it using the a7 catalogue number. so after that went to liverpool st johns explained the same thing and they said no problem and gave me the a7 for the price of the a6!0

Hi All,
In the midst of all the excitement, has anyone actually had the chance to test out the A7 properly? If yes, how is it?
I'm sure most people will be pleased (with the price!) but are the pics & it's many features any good?
There are some who are put off by the Samsung name & believe their cameras are below par (may be without even trying them out for themselves?). Are they being too picky about minor details that most users will not even see, let alone be worried about?
The majority of these buyers - see
AmazonUK A6 (no A7 available) &
AmazonUS A7 appear satisfied.

PS - for those who missed the A7, the Fuji E510 could be a good alternative.0 -
chester greyhound today had an A7 labelled as the A6 if anyone is in the area still looking0

As you will see GoofyGAT, this camera can be picked up for under $200 in USA sales, so £100. Average people do seem fairly happy with it, so I guess if you are on a budget its a good buy.
But I wouldnt get carried away with thinking you have a Sony 7MP alternative .. for 1/3 the price.Be nice0 -
