No. 46 calling in...
Haven't been on this thread for ages, so well done everyone who's been debt-busting and don't worry those who won't do it by the end of the year, every little helps!!!
My £5k debt is now £2k - have been working really hard to get rid of the debt this year, hence not been on here much! Still feels like it's not gone down fast enough though... just want to get rid of it!
I'm hoping to stay on track to pay off by the end of the year, I think I will be there or thereabouts (depending on Xmas)
Well done again everyone and keep up the good work. :T:T

Well done on clearing £3k , as you say every little helps and that is the attitude that I am taking as well - everytime I pay more than the bare minimum (which I always try and do) then the capital is getting chipped away at and there will eventually be more money in my pocket and none in theirs!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Totally agree Dragon, I've managed to do it by having 'make a payment every day' weeks (even if it's just 50p!) and/or pay more than the monthly minimum and sometimes that's just been rounding up to the nearest pound. It's surprisingly how it all adds up.. and as you say the best bit will be when we're debt-free and have the extra pennies to use on ourselves!

Have some good news, i shredded the evil virgin credit card yesterday so there will definately be no more spending on it, just paying it off!
seems like a small step but seems big to me because i was keeping hold of it "just incase" lol because there was £500 sitting there but they took that away and id have to be desperate to use/withdraw cash on a card that is at 24%. So see ya virgin and good riddance! :j

I am not too sure to be honest because my snowball always says that my debt goes up and not down which is weird because it is going down. But anywho i have a few things that need paying off soon so virgin will just have to wait a while now whilst i concentrate on finding money for the other things. one day debt freedom will be mine lolDue to budget cuts the light at the end of the tunnel will be switched off.
