    Sorry about all the bills pepper, I think we will be the same next month! I got a red letter about the council tax today... I got so excited about having two free months that I forgot to pay Januarys CT :o

    Thank you debtfreein2009 - there is one brightside - I've just paid the first £150 off a nightmare debt! Only £700 left on that one now!!!!!!!

    Im new to this place, pleased to read about people making progress into paying the debt off. God knows its hard work. Currently paying about half our total monthly income (850) a month.

    Does it get any easier, I have about 18 month to go.:eek:
    Total Debt -was £14,700 aprox NOW £13,835
    Paying each month-800-850 (hopefully)
    Hope to be debt free about aug 2010

    Yes it does get easier AND you have taken the first big step by having your LBM that you need to do something - so go you!

    Oh and welcome aboard :rotfl:, if you want to let Mizmir know how much you hope to clear this year then she will add you and your amount to the list.

  • hi everyone

    I'm so excited about payday next week cos I'll be paying off another £300 - yippee!!

    I started doing some waitressing work last year at a golf club and its currently being refurbished. I found out yesterday that the refurbishment will be done in the next couple of weeks and there will be regular shifts available every week and i can take as many as i can fit around my full time job! It feels great knowing that I will have a way to earn some extra cash and get debt free as quickly as possible!

    Hope everyone is enjoying the journey towards being debt free in 2009!
