Once this gets properly started, is there a way we can have a running total of how much we've paid off as a collective? If we all reach our targets the amount we've repaid will be immense!

    Hi Mizmir, fantastic idea!:T

I have £3,984.27 to clear and would like to do it by September 2009:rolleyes: :D .

Hi everyone and welcome to everyone who has found us since this morning. Think the list on the front post is now up to date - sorry had to go and do some work - infuriating thing does get in the way of debt busting! ;)

Like the idea of keeping a tally of money paid off but I think it will be rather unweildy to do it in small payments (though we can each do that in posts and sigs of course). How about we keep a tally as we go through of debts cleared (whether whole debt or individual loans/cards etc) and see how that goes? But open to other ideas of course!

    HI Mizmir,

I think its sounds like a great idea! :)

Im working on one debt at a time (while paying normal payments on the others!) so it will be a major thing for me when my first credit card is gone. Want it gone by the time my mortgage is due for renewal in March.

Although im about to put more on credit card two with a couple of interest free deals at their end soon (already counted in overall debt!)

OK folks - post on the thread when you achieve a significant milestone along the road to debt freedom - saying how much has been paid off - and I will keep a tally in the first post. Hopefully by then end we will have hit our joint target!

Have changed my mind! Have listed the total to pay so far on the first post - over £90K between us!! So it would be nice to see the paid off total growing sooner rather than later.

So.... when you make a payment post it here and I will update that overall total! (and I'll have to hope you don't all pay it off a pound at a time! :rotfl::rotfl:)

    Let's see how it goes!
  • Sounds like another good challenge. Can I join please? My total debt is approx £7000, and ideally I would like that cleared by Christmas 2009. Don't know if that is possible, but I can always aim for that.

    Good luck everybody!
