    Debt-free and Proud!
Morning all. Big welcome clearmydebts and skint_spice - the more the merrier - and good luck! And well done on the debt repayment bluestaff.

Our group total is creeping towards the £300K mark - if we can clear that next year it will be soooo exciting!

I think my debt busting will start just post Christmas, I have just paid the annual Christmas Card posting bill , and I may have another couple of gifts to get - but January no stopping me! I will clear this flipping CC AND my £100 overdraft as well.

Actually it is rather scary to think that the "me, me, me" system has got us all so badly out of kilter, we are the ones that have had our LBM how many others in the country are even worse off!

    Hi there,

Just found this thread and am aiming for £8,750 by end of December 2009. Sainsburys loan at 7.9%. It's the only debt I have and want it paid off so I can move in summer 2010.

Can someone please tell me the name of the tool I need to calculate a debt free date so I can calculate how much to overpay. Thank you.

I'm really motivated and up for this!!

Thank you! I am not sure if I can ring Sainsburys monthly to make overpayments, so for this month I have been putting all extras in my savings account and put in £900 so far. That is because I had a few biggies on ebay and don't have to start loan payment til Jan, so stashed this months payment.
My plan is to use any earnings over 2K, CSA, Family Allowance, ebay, quidco and anything else I can think of! Single parent and determined to sell my house and get one with a drive so I don't have to walk miles with shopping when I can't park near my house!!
