Thank you. I was made a batch of crispy cakes to brighten my morning, so that was nice. No dates for any of the tests yet.

Sue-UU......I am fine thanks, although fed up.......I have to confess that I have had to borrow £60 out of my pot, and also I havn't been able to put my usual £40 in at the end of the month. We have had quite an expensive month and then on top of it all we got an unexpected bill.!!!! Anyway I suppose on the bright side, at least I did have the extra money saved up. I have written an i.o.u for £100 pounds and should be able to put that back at the end of August, and I WILL put it back. Next year I am going to have a birthday pot, because some months I have 4/5 birthdays in the same month which is a killer.

Anyway I did put about £2.75 in coppers into the pot. Glad to hear everyone is still saving, I'm going out today to buy my grandaughter a birthday present, trying to make a £20 note look like its done the work of £40.!! She is only 4, so she is easy to please.

Hello there Our Elsie!!! It's so good to see you, really it is. So sorry you needed to borrow from your pot, but far better to do that than worry about how to pay something. I wouldn't wish anyone to go through that when they have the cash. A good idea with the IOU though, the birthday pot too, at least you can be sure of having those times catered for; never easy when there are so many little ones as well as larger little ones! I hope you were lucky in stretching that £20!

Well done on sorting your pot pmg!

Nice to see you again rosepink, have you tried cleaning underneath your keyboard as stunty suggest? He's not just a pretty face!

Hi scubaangel, I was so pleased to read you'd had a terrific time, good to have you back.

Hiya Puzzled and what great news about the 2 fivers!!! :TNot so good about the lottery, but.....! I'd have caved with the fish supper too!

Sue. New friends wishing to join us, please just ask and I'll be with you ASAP.

  • I am getting so excited...eeeeeeeeeeeek << me making excited noises. I only started my seal pot challenge last month and already they are feeling weighty...

I have two pots. One has pound and £2 coins in (even the odd note) and the other has 20p, 50p and 10p's. My 5ps go in a little bear, and my coppers go in a large fat bottomed pig. All my savings pots are rattling well... I can't wait till my sealed tins are full and I can open them and count.

    eeeeeeeeeeek... xx

Evening all.:A Tons and tons of coinage in my pottie today as I was out for my birthday last night. So lots of golden coins came home with me. Then one of my friends who was visiting gave me a large golden coin for my 'collection' this morning. And to top it all off I found 20p on the floor of the room she was staying in - maybe that was her rent for me.:p:p:p

Sue - I've heard from Reb - she has had a few difficult weeks at home, but promises she's still saving, and will be back soon. I told her we're all missing her.:A:A:A

My pottie is sooooooooo nearly full. Very exciting... And it's my birthday on Tuesday - maybe a little roadkill will come my way.;)

    Hi all.

Haven't posted for a while as I pay for most things on my 'chipknip' card. It's like a debit card that you add funds to, and can then pay for small things quickly without using your pin.

I can't buy anything at work without out (not even from the vending machines!!) so I tend to use that for incidentals.

Anyway, I was having a tidy up earlier and found 45cents on the coffee table. Into the pot it goes :)

Hi there LC, glad you had a lovely evening, very fruitful that's for sure! Please give my love to reb and let her know she's in my thoughts. I really hope all is well for her soon.

I shall have to start telling more folk about my pots, in the hope that some will take pity and spare a bob or two! IF I happen to forget, have a really Happy Birthday on Tuesday...knowing you it'll certainly be a merry ( hic) one!

MSFC I reckon your OH's got plans on how to develop the perfect "Sealed Pot" then in December he'll be marketing them, what say you?!

Keep up the excitement DaisyChainMaker, the very best way to keep filling them pots. A fat-bottomed pig eh? Stand it up on end then and get more in! :rotfl:

Well done shrewsaver, though....should you be counting? Eh? :shhh:

I'll take your word for the 'chipknip' card euronorris. Happy saving.

Good to see you sonas_baby and snickers! Well done on keeping your pots free from hunger. Like you snickers, I'm finding mine so very heavy now...looking forward to seeing it spilling it out on the table like last year too!:j

Have a wonderful week all, it's going to be hot, so keep whacking on the sunscreen, the air con too...and keep saving no matter how hot it gets!

    Still going here!

Pot getting heavier, most loose change goes in, very little in the way of roadkill though, never find any round here! Always looking though!
