Sealed Pot Challenge 2 "The Return"

Hi everyone,
Well its a lovely day outside, and I've got a day off work......so on the positive side I'm not going out so having a NSD, but on the other hand no opportunity to look for road kill.....or in my case bus-stop or escalator kill.
It's pay day tomorrow, so I have just emptied the contents of my purse into sealed pot. £1.90 today and still aiming to put my usual £10 note in at the weekend. I was considering putting the contents of said sealed pot into the bank, I havn't counted it (honest) :A but I know there must be in excess of £110 and I don't really like having money in the house. If I am going to get a burglar I hope its one who is frightened by spiders seeing as my sealed pot lives in the loft, with god knows what.!!:eek:
But as my OH says, the only person my sealed pot has got to be scared of getting their hands on it is.....me. !
Have a good day guys.

And Ruby, I know you're new and all - so I'll let you off, but Oxford Street is on my roadkill patch - but I tell you there's never a penny to pick up there anyway.
Good to see the rest of you doing ok.
It is horrible being out of work at the mo - and I do sympathise with those of you looking for jobs. So big hugs ((())) I'm working on my job presentation for next week, which I am not confident about at all. So am right there with you.:AI know your game LC....you are just trying to get me to open my piggy and count it.
Actually I am dying to open it and count but I am worried that if I do I will think I have done so well I will stop trying so hard. What do you think?
So LC you think you are going to beat me? Well I am humble and lowly from middle Britain. And you from London, I think you are the PM's wife and so can afford more to fill your pig. BUT..... the gauntlet is down!!!
I hope this isn't getting too personal or we will be chucked off here.
PS to LC: Just for the record. I don't intend to loose so I may never know if I am a bad looser.
:grouphug:Good luck to all of you job hunting, I am thinking of you.:grouphug:
PPS to LC: check my sig. LOL!!I don't get to come on here too often.

Rightyo Reb......let's see how we go in the challenge. Will have to think of a suitable forfeit for the loser.

Don't worry hun, they won't chuck us off here - this is one of the last safe havens on MSE. We like a little banter.:D:D:D
I won the Orla Kiely comp that you guys voted for me on - £250 worth of goodies. Am well chuffed. I'm off out to see Joseph tonight (another comp prize) armed with a 50% off restaurant voucher. And my own interval munchies. I'll treat myself to a bevvie from the bar though.

My first tin is nearly full. I never see any cash on streets, must put my head down more or try walking instead of driving. I will not be paying coinmaster at Tesco £18 to change my cash this year. My bank is A & L and do not have a branch in Great Yarmouth. Other banks are not keen to take bags of change if you do not bank with them. I can use the post office but they are not too keen either as they do not have enough staff in my local one. I may open each tin when full and just take that to post office and just keep a record of what I have banked. Same difference I suppose but I like the anticipation of opening them all in December.0

Had a nice morning, went over to see mum and take her to the homeopath, and had lunch with her and my sister. On the way back I got a tenner out and bought some chocolate - have put all the change in my pots.
Haven't caught up with you all, but I will do tomorrow. Have to go out soon so no time now. Got all day at home tomorrow, so will read back and see how you all are! Hugs to all"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

rubyslipper wrote: »Hi there luckycharlie - thanks for the welcome! :hello: I'll assume by roadkill you're referring to dropped coins and not squished hedgehogs (shudder). No, I'm not an expert but working on busy old Oxford St means I definitely need to start paying more attention to the pavements, especially outside Selfridges...!
I now have a mental image of me backing up the entire escalator queue at Bond St forcing all my fellow commuters to jog on the spot while I fumble about on the floor for ten pee. :rotfl:
Good luck finding your 98p today! xx
Hi Everyone,
Ruby you are already looking to find 10p Don't go and get more than me in one go!!!
Didn't find anything so went and bought myself a cream egg to cheer myself up. Will be at WW if I don't find anything soon.
I have put lots of change in my jar to-day which is good but will probably be broke by Sunday which is not sooo good (get paid Wednesdays) Still nothing unusual about that.
Welcome Redstararnie Hope you enjoy belonging to this thread .
We are all very well behaved here as you can tell.;)
OH Elsie I can't see many robbers coming into your loft . Have you a loft ladder or will they have to bring their own :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I am still resisting counting mine but its hard!! Still will keep reminding myself how great it will be in December.
Going to make cakes for comic relief tomorrow.
