Sealed Pot Challenge 2 "The Return"

Hi there luckycharlie - thanks for the welcome! :hello: I'll assume by roadkill you're referring to dropped coins and not squished hedgehogs (shudder). No, I'm not an expert but working on busy old Oxford St means I definitely need to start paying more attention to the pavements, especially outside Selfridges...!
I now have a mental image of me backing up the entire escalator queue at Bond St forcing all my fellow commuters to jog on the spot while I fumble about on the floor for ten pee. :rotfl:
Good luck finding your 98p today! xxSealed Pot Challenge 2009 # 650 (target £150)Long Haul Supporters # 158 debt free 2014Member of the Blondettes :beer:Debt Free Date: doesn't bear thinking about!0 -

LOL imagining all those people :rotfl: :rotfl:
Welcome rubyslipper. :hello:
I have yet to find any 'roadkill'. I must be looking in the wrong places - or I need my eyes testing - which is a very likely!!
50p in my pot today - not as much as I would like (thanks to DS!) but I guess everything helps.
Have a good Thursday everyone - its nearly the weekend!! :T :T
Anyone doing anything exciting for Red Nose day????0 -
I have devised a way to pick up small change in a crowd - act slightly startled , quickly look around (the whole, oh I've dropped something' scenario) and then, pleased that you've found it, scoop down and pick it up. In this way instead of people pitying you for grovelling on the road for a 2p coin, they are pleased for you that you have recovered a lost item. For silver I just dive in and pick it up - no shame for a 50p piece! Anyway had a spare £1 in my purse last night so one pot got that, the other had to go unfed.

Right Reb - you've done it now. Check out my new sig. Hope you're not a bad loser.;););)
And Ruby, I know you're new and all - so I'll let you off, but Oxford Street is on my roadkill patch - but I tell you there's never a penny to pick up there anyway.
Good to see the rest of you doing ok.
It is horrible being out of work at the mo - and I do sympathise with those of you looking for jobs. So big hugs ((())) I'm working on my job presentation for next week, which I am not confident about at all. So am right there with you.:A
Save me from spending...

Hi,
I know I'm a little late, but please can I join in the sealed pot challenge?
I've only just found my way onto this part of MSE (I haven't ventured out of the compers section for quite some time - is it really 2009?!?).
Oh yes, and please can my target be £150?
Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

Oops, sorry Little Chicken, I didn't realise OS was taken!
I'll forrage around Wigmore St then as that's where my office actually is. I've always got my home turf of Brixton but it doesn't do to linger too long on the street (local crazies home in on you), plus any money dropped there is snaffled up in a nanosecond (by said crazies)!
Thanks for the welcome Emmsie21! Good luck with the continuing roadkill hunt! xSealed Pot Challenge 2009 # 650 (target £150)Long Haul Supporters # 158 debt free 2014Member of the Blondettes :beer:Debt Free Date: doesn't bear thinking about!0 -
