Feeling very guilty now
I just popped my £20 Avon commision into my pot and was really pleased but now feel bad as I could have paid some off of my debt.:(
That probably would have been a much more sensible idea wouldnt it?
Oh well guess I shouldnt beat myself up about it, it is a "sealed" pot after all so no point crying over spilt milk.Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T
2020 the year of less - Less debt, less waste, less spending, less stuff, less stress!0 -
Feeling very mse right now, have spent the day at work gathering supplies for my pot...I've no small people whose craft stuff I can steal. I got newspaper from my parents, who get dailies, and I got about a dozen balloons from the events co-ordinator at work, thought she might have some, apparently yes, yes she does. So the flour and water paste is storecupboard stuff....now all I need is brushes. Though I do have some rubber gloves (hair dye.... ) so I could do it the messy way...hmmmm... we shall see
Thanks Surfbabe - I thought it'd be a while, gives me pleny of time to figure out colour schemes and stuff.
Oh and fiance type dude has asked if I can make him one...God knows what he'll put in it, I steal all his change anyway, nice to know I'm in good company.:DNow MARRIED!11/09/100 -

Pips Mum, don't feel guilty as plenty of people here will have no doubt done something like that at some point...myself included.0 -

Hi Surfbabe, did you make your Ziggie and Ziglets entirely from newspaper?. ..
Sue
Hi Sue
Yep - cover a balloon with a layer of newspaper papier mache, then tape the feet and snout on (means its smooth on the inside and coins don;t get stuck in the feet when you burst the balloon) then just keep layering with newspaper strips. I then left it a week till it was dry before painting it. For post last year I did the final layer with spotty tissue paper and Pete the Penguin is a final couple of payers of tissue paper.
Hope that is some help!!0 -

i didn;t use brushes (apart from the painting) and you don;t need rubber gloves either - they are too bulky and get in the way :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Hello again, really love reading this thread and so glad I'm part of the team
I've only managed 2p during the last couple of days which I found whilst moving things around in the lounge to make space for Christmas tree, my keeping my purse completely empty policy has worked well, it's made me think do I really need this in shops, am I going to put £1.26 (or whatever) on my card??
Have taken £20 cash out to buy said tree and a few bits for the weekend, hopefully I'll have lots of lovely change to feed the terramundi tonight, lol.0 -

Just put another 5 x 10p's in my pot
DH's put's all his bronze in my little piggy bank whenever he has any so I thought I would use that as well. When it's full I shall pop it all in my pot and he can start again, that way it saves me from cashing it in at the supermarket.
I won't empty my purse today as I have over £20.00 in pound and two pound coins in it, and I would like to know I have emergency money if necessaryMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️
