  • Nothing for me for a couple of days again - but i have got some change in my purse which might be going in (unless i need it for taxis :) )
  • £2 in coppers went in this morning after swapping a £2 coin with my OH :)

My tin feels rather heavy already... I might have to extend my target total of filling two tins at this rate!

    Hello all!

About to feed the TENNER TIN some more coins lol!

I am really enjoying knowing i am saving up money! I also am doing well at saving my coppers and 5 pence peices up in seperate glass jars in my room.

All sort of change will be in my tin , if money is really well i could possibly slip in a 5 pound note lol!

Okay, so i'm using this as an excuse to make one of the cute paper-machie(sp) ones..hehe, knew i'd find a reason. ANyone any idea how long they'll take to dry?

Depends where you put it to dry - if you can find space in the airing cupboard 24 hours although the longer the better. Mine were left to dry out for a week between making and painting. Just left mine in utility room as no room in AC.!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Surfbabe your piggy is seriously cute, wish I'd made one...well, I will next year!

Plenty of change today as I had to break into a £10 for coffees (I can reclaim these for work) so a win win situation!

If you havet got any tins to save you some money i made my own money collecter as i had no pots or tins laying around. So i got a plastic cup cut out a round circle of carboard and cellotape it onto the top andcut a slit to slot the money into it. Then wrote on a piece of paper what challenge it is and stuck it on.

wohoo. Got a proper sealed terramundi this morning and transfered the money from my unsealed to the new shiney sealed one.

Much like everyone else in my position i fought the urge to count it but unfortunatly the force was to strong with the money and i had a quick count up.

    ~£25 allready!!!!

seems high but I have transfered all my £2 coins from the £2 coin challenge into it aswell.

I have even decided on a purpose for it aswell. I think after 3 years(4 once opened) it is about time I popped the question to my OH. I'm going to keep it a secret from her though and when the time comes to open it i'll let her do it and i have put in a small note with 'the question' on it!!!

Hi another few pennies in the pot today. Got a shiny tin from the pound shop when I was in town today as I think it would be too tempting to open the normal piggy banks I have.
  • my first 84p in today! yay
i haven't bought a jar/tin to put it in yet, so for now it's in an old purse in my drawers

all i had in purse after the madness at woolies today!

Hi I am going to sign back in for this challenge, I am No. 075...My target is going to be £250...towards a Disney Paris trip as Xmas Pressie for my kids!!!

I only managed £93.69 this year I lost the plot with the old thread as it was so busy, and sort of kept forgetting to save... However, this time I am going to try very, very hard as I really would like to double my target!!!

    Good luck everybody.
