Yes Frenchie, a little treat after all that saving is definitely OK. I didn't treat myself last year, as I put all of my pennies into my ISA, but should maybe think of something for 2009 as the interest rates are so rubbish.

Good Luck with the non-smoking Tommy. You'll have the biggest pottie ever if you bang in £5 a day :A:A:A

Anyone who hasn't voted for me lovely piccie, I'm joint 1st now, :j but could really do with more votes if you fancy it. here's the linky: http://mydeco.com/competitions/create-valentines-moodboard/

Just 50p today for one pot, a low week for change........

            Fiver Friday #13 £35
          1. Another couple of £s in each pot today - had to go and BUY water this morning, as we had lemonade coloured water since last night. Yuck. And it made a horrible scum all over the sink, so I didn't want a horrible scum all over my insides! It's ok now, so don't have to waste any more money buying water!
Am curious Sam247 about the Waitrose payment, what eees theeese?
Sparky, I don't really go for walks but drive past several bus stops. Would it be wierd to stop the car, get out and look for money and then get back in the car? Or should I just walk there?

I'm already wondering how I'm going to use all this change in my sealed tin, the banks only take 5 bags at a time so it would be a lot of visits and so I'd have to carry round loads of change to do my christmas shopping. What did people do last year and what ideas have people got for using it all this year? I've decided anything over my target is going to buying me a lovely new Orla Kiely bag, I'm sure Little Chicken would agree with me!!

FC not all banks have that daft 5 bag rule, my local RBS branch will let you pay as many bags as you like in to your accounts, although I do tend to only take a few at a time as I like to walk there and back and its heavy carrying bags of change. Im pretty sure no RBS branches have limits from memory none of the ones Ive ever used have done.
I would guess though alot of banks wont mind you paying a few more than 5 in as long as you arent there when its at its busiest (Lunchtimes etc), the other option of course is to do multiple visits in a day with 5 at a time.

Have to admit I'm wondering if I set my sights too high with the filling the bottle aim, considering revising my aim to a smaller pot and if I fill it going for regular banking trips but keeping it in a separate bank account so I dont spend it. Will be thinking about that while I wait to see if I get the bar job.
