A very warm welcome to your first challenge suelizab (I do hope you'll soon feel one of us and enjoy joining in), Flat Eric, kindlesgirl (no problem, if you can save that's fine, if not so is that!) and flatbroke49. Good to 'meet' you all. :D Enjoy yourselves, this is a great thread and very addictive! You'll each find your numbers at the bottom of the list on post 1 of page 1, read through posts 1 & 2 as it'll help you with queries.

Thanks penniesgrowintopounds, but no it's NOT!!!!"Dirty little mouse" was what hubby thought was the problem when he looked at it and cleaned it earlier, but it's been messing me about terribly again tonight!!....Mine were from the maths teacher too sparky, though he was also deputy head and a stickler for discipline! You with your stopping going sounds just like my hubby, he did wonderfully well too!

Don't worry Cally, that's not the type of thing that we were all talking and (I hasten to add!) laughing about on Friday, it was a couple of others who had been counting theirs and putting themselves "on the naughty seat". Just a bit of tomfoolery, I promise you! On the very first page of the thread I said quite clearly that I'd far sooner people use their money saved for bills if they needed to rather than be fined for late payments or need it for a bill/s they couldn't afford otherwise. Some had to last year and we all agreed it was the best way. I hope you're happy with the above and understand. Have a look on posts 1 & 2 of the first page. .......Hi luckycharlie - you mischief? - as if!!! No, the PC is still messing me about (see note to "penniesgrowintopounds" above. Glad to see you're behaving today Charlie!!!:p

Just seen your posts sparky, stunty and Molly, many thanks though I'm sure Cally's realised by now and is fine. Thank you all, though I'm sure we're all happy enough now. Have fun everyone and if anyone wants to brush up on any queries then please refer to posts 1 & 2 on the first page of the thread.

Have a lovely Sunday ....keep dry!

Sue PS. For any new friends wishing to join us, please just ask and I'll be with you ASAP.

    Hi everyone

Sorry I've not really been posting but baby William arrived a little early on 14 Dec :j and it's all been a bit of a blur since however things are calming down a little now. You did say to let you all know so that you could have a drink to the baby so please have one for me too  - I can't because I'm breastfeeding but at least I'm saving money by not using formula.

Not doing too well with my £2 coin pot as I've not really been spending much so am thinking of setting myself a weekly spending budget and putting anything I don't spend in a week straight into the pot - that's the plan anyway!

    Take care and happy saving

50p in the pot today and I spotted some odd small coins last night so will find them and stick them in too! no roadkill though - will have to pay more attention!

I have decided that whenever I buy something, I am going to round it up, so if something costs 91p then the 9p change goes in the pot. When I spend 80p on my bus fare, the 20p change goes in the pot.

Similarly if I buy something with my debit card either I will round that up also and transfer "the difference" into my savings account or put the equivalent amount in my pot.

    I cant wait :j
