Welcome to all the newcomers! It's so nice to have you all with us. I'm quite new, only been on here a few weeks, but it's fun!
Not having much success at the mo, have had a few NSDs, then realised I don't have any cash anyway as husb borrowed my £5 to pay for some advertising in a shop, so I asked him to get me £10 out as he was going shopping (not a bad rate of interest!) but altho he has it he hasn't given it to me yet!
I went for a stroll round Tesco car park but didn't find a thing. Not a penny. Nada. Zilch. Zero. I guess the men that wash the cars nab all the roadkill! :rotfl:
Jenchin - can't believe you found £5!!!
Kel - glad you got your £2 coin back! How are you today? Hope you get some sleep tonight, it must be rough if you can't sleep. Have you got something on your mind, or do you always have trouble sleeping?"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Quite a bit of silver added to my pot today.I'm living on a pre-determined budget this year and I'm managing really well. This does mean a lack of change though so it makes me feel good to add some here and there.
I'd like to back up what Sparky and Stunty said about opening pots.We were all in this last year and many of us had to dip into our pots.I actually opened mine in August in order to have more spends on our late deal Haven holiday.I was backed up totally by all my lovely friends on here, and managed to save more again for xmas. This is meant to be a fun challenge to see how quickly the odd coin or to adds up.If your pile adds up quicker and can be put to good use then write the total down, use it and start again. That total can be added to your final total in December cos after all it was saved in your sealed pot.
Welcome to all the newbies and keep savinglost my way but now I'm back ! roll on 2013

ROSEPINK Hey, no I don't normally have trouble sleeping but I am on medication ( Tramadol, Diclofenac and Amitriptyline) for chronic sciatica and the Tramadol cause insomnia so I have found out the past 3 nights!! I had 3 days without my Tramadol last week and OMG was I on a "come down" you feel like you are coming off heroin!! ( I should know, I'm an ex (6 years clean) addict!!) I'm hoping it calms down though, but it's weird because I'm not that tired, Ive just cooked 2 x lasagnes, using up cupboard stuff, 2 lots of biscuits and a crumble lol,
Anyways OH just walked in the door so I'm off, Oh and 1p to the pot haha.
