I would like to join the sealed pot challenge please :j. I have a teramundi pot I could use but dont think it would be that full after just 11 odd months and I dont want to break it if it is only a quater full! so will find something else to use
Many thanks
EDIT have dug out an old cardboard box which I have first wrapped in brown paper then wrapped in some pretty wrapping paper. I have made a hole in the top and begun the challenge by putting in all my loose change that I was saving so a mixture of £2 coins, quite a few 50 pence pieces, lots of coppers and the odd few 5p, 20p and 10p coins
My box is aproximately 16cm in width one side, about 14cm in width the other side, and approximately 27cm in height so quite a big box and although I am unlikely to fill it completely, I will give it a good go! no more will I have any loose change and nor will my OH!!! hah!
I will always save my 50 pence and £2 coins and will save other change as and when I have it. I may even throw in the odd note :j

Put some shrapnel in the jar from the last few days, but hopefully will get loads more tomorrow as I'm working in the area of a local football derby......I am one of the 63336.'It is better to have lived one day as a tiger than a thousand years as a sheep.'

Sorry if I've offended you! If you read back over the last few pages you'll see that a few of us are having a bit of lighthearted banter. We all understand that sometimes you have to break into your pot to pay something, I did last year, so I know what it means to have to break into it. Hope this goes some way to explain about the post I put on here!
Just to back Sparky up here.
No one on here would deliberately have a go at someone for having to open their tin. People who did in the challenge last year were supported to the hilt by all of us.
Theres simply been a little banter on here lately, what with Sparky and I being accused of stealing all the roadkill in the country and us putting a roadkill masterclass on.
Hope this helps clear things up, cause I don't think the banter will stop.I am one of the 63336.'It is better to have lived one day as a tiger than a thousand years as a sheep.'

I managed to get 25p out of my hubby. Tricked him! It's a dark hole in his pockets....and a long way to the bottom of them.....
It's now in my sealed pot where he would not dare to roam.........if he did I would kill him.Wouldn't be able to help myself!
I don't get to come on here too often.
Too buzy money saving!0 -
Rosepink....I questioned OH about the £2 coin, which technically is for my £2 savers doofrey but they all go in the same pot lol, and he said "it's on the fireplace" and sure enough, there it was about 2 metres away from me lmao.
My Mom gave me a tenner today so iv put it straight in the pot, obviously if i need some then i'll have to break in but will put all change in lol.
Hope everyone else doing well, am off to read cr*p online as iv just spent the last couple hours making lasagnes, crumble and writing a list of all food i have in the house lol!!#

After rummaging in the deep dark recesses of my bag (lots of bus tickets, chewing gum and train tickets in there...) managed to find £1.80 in random change, so in the pot that goes! Can't believe I've managed to save over £16 in a week! hi cally6008 i think sparky was referring to me and a couple of others who have had itchy fingers of late. nobody minds if you have to take money out for an emergency theres no point saving £20 in a pot and having to pay £30 in charges. hope you werent put off coming on here as it has to be the friendliest funniest and most motivating thread iv found on MSE.:coffee:i find a cup of tea can solve most problems:coffee:
