  • Can I join please? Frenchconnection200
Started putting money into mine two weeks ago, I'm saving £2 coins and putting a £1 in every Saturday, then starting from the end of January any money in my purse on payday can go in. My target is £500 for Christmas next year. I'm not going to seal mine as I find it really rewarding to wach the level rising, managed £50 in Nov/Dec when I first started but had to take it out for Christmas so I'm determined this year. A real incentive when I read everyone elses stories so I'm going to read this thread every day.

    Hi,

Could I please join. I would like to save as much as I can towards christmas, but don't want to set a target. I am currently throwing as much as I can towards our debts. I have a big jar which I will seal and promise not to open..... Thanks

    Hi elsie52,
Welcome to the challenge, sue will be along to allocate you a number, it will probably be tomorrow though, as she will probably take her DH out, get him drunk, then raid his pockets :p lol

No, no Sparky!:naughty: I wasn't moaning about you, just praising you up along with Stunty, Molly Sbabe etc for always being ready to answer the questions of newly joining folk. A sort of well done was all I was meaning, you know me! :p Is "that just over £41 in your road jar" all from 2008??? I hope so!.....

Hiya sue, only kidding hun. The £41 is from 2008, I started collecting "road change" on 31st March, and accumulated this tidy sum, just from looking down at the ground.

"HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE" Have a fantastic New Years Eve, stay safe and wrap up well, its going down to minus 5 tonight

    Hi Edinburgh,

Thanks for your message, I am also going to seal another coffee jar in readiness. I have been saving 50p coins for a few weeks and have added that to the coppers making a grand total of £20.02p already going into my sealed jar. How exciting will it be when we are in December 09 and we have money......yipee.... I never realized saving money could be just as much fun as spending it.:T:j:T:j
