i'd like to join please, i have a large quality street jar that i am hoping to fill with money now we've eaten all the choccies out of it....i will be supergluing the lid on it (after making a slot in it) as i have been known to break piggy banks to get money out of them in the past...i am determined to resist the urge this time though. Especially as we can all encourage one another on here.

edited to add p.s. I don't want to know what i have accumulated until i open the jar in Dec 09 so if its okay with you all i won't be saying an amount i want to have saved...i shall just have to hope that it is a nice Christmas surprise!

I'm making a papier mach! pig right now so will start saving on January 1st. I don't have a target, just hope to save a bit of money that I would otherwise spend on pointless things that I don't need at all.

Hope I'm not too late to join in!

Hit the sales today spent mainly cash and all change went in pot. Its amazing how heavy it feels already.
Wont be able to carry it all to the bank by December.

Evening all, you're right Stunty - it was freeeeezing out - but I had to brave it to spend some of my Bootsing points in the sales.

About £5 in the pottie today. See Sue, I'm not slacking off too much.

I've got a couple of mystery shops next week, so that should yield more change.

What are you all up yo for NYE? I might go to the river with a big torch and metal detector, I reckon there'll be tons of roadkill after the fireworks. lol.

Last year I found a £20 note across the road from me, £10 on the way home from the supermarket, and £5 by the tills in Wilkinsons. I found 20p by the counter in the post office last week. I think you just need to keep your eyes peeled.;)

But most of my 'free' money - about £200 last year, came from the large gold coins that I check for every night in my OH's pantaloons. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
