This sealed jar challenge is really addictive... and I love it!
Everytime I get change under a pound I'm thinking how it can go in my sealed jar as I wont really miss it but I'm sure it will soon add up in the jar! I've even got my girlfriend involved too and she's started her own jar even though she doesnt read this forum so its now a contest to see which of us can raise more by 1st Dec 2009 :PCurrent Debt Owed To Family: [STRIKE]£12,575[/STRIKE] £9,000 :wall:Estimated Debt Free... I'm feeling inspired, £2 has gone in the savings pot, £4.78 has gone in the virtual pot and I've spent ages devising a spreadsheet for my finances. I've realised I can pay my Egg loan off by November as long as I'm good and follow my spreadsheet.
Happy New Year everyone, good luck with all your finances.Sealed pot challenge number 5130 -
I'd love to join please!!! I've got a huge plastic Newcastle Brown Can that my OH was given for Christmas a few years ago. It has since been filled with my coppers, but I usually empty it out every few weeks. My OH is taping it up as we speak, so no escape for the coppers until next Christmas. It'll be great feeling it getting heavier and heavier. I'd like to put a target of £500.

That's great news frenchconnection200! Well done
I personally love using my budget spreadsheet as it helps me plan how I can pay off my debts faster and it also serves as a motivator as I make a note of my debt on the 1st of every month. Nothing nicer than seeing how much less you owe compared to last month! Even better when you look at your debt a year ago!Current Debt Owed To Family: [STRIKE]£12,575[/STRIKE] £9,000 :wall:Estimated Debt Free... [STRIKE]Dec 2012[/STRIKE] Aug 2012

Oooh, this sounds like the kind of challenge I need. Sign me up please. I got 2 little darlings that love to post things (last time DD post console games in the crack between window and ledge. Found 30+ games in the cavity wall!). Seems right up our alley.£66.77/£240 Grocery Challenge0

hey Everyone,
Glad you missed me Suealthough i am going to try to be a good influence today hehe
I have managed to add a whopping £1.04 to the pot today, randomly i am actually eating the food that is in my cupboards at the moment, which means that the £1 change that would have been spent on a nice pasty from mr Greggs is now in my shiney pot and i had porridge for lunch
Keep looking for that road change!! Sparky, you have inspired me, im gonna see what else i can find and from tomos (next year, lol) ill be putting any road change into a seperate pot

Hello to one and all
Just popping in to wish everyone a Happy New Year in case I don't get back on here before the weekend. Phil the Pig is still 'in the game' but, sadly, hasn't been fed very much over the past month. It's mainly down to the fact that I don't often have cash, so spare change isn't often available. There'kk be even less now that I've moved 5 miles out from the newarest shop, so no popping out for extras any more
See you all next yearI reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.
