it seems so hard to choose one there have been so many great ones this year to be honest i have to admit i wouldnt mind if the zincoxide thread won as it is hilarious and has cheered many a m.s.e.r up when they are down, i am not however writting here to nominate him (did press the thanks button though) another great one that cant be ignored is weezls 50p a day thread the sheer guts and determination that family have is amazing ...it's also great watching everyone else support each other share recipes and stories after all that is what were here for is it not?

I would like to nominate Kitties thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=147067&highlight=things+get+tougher
This thread started way back in 2006 and is still going today in its newer form of Now things are tough..
It has supported and helped many people and offered advice on how to prepare for all manner of things as the economy started sliding.
The newer thread is supporting people now as we start dealing with the consequences...0 -
I know this has already been posted but i really would llike to nominate Zincoxides thread : Having fun with Debitas...
I only found his thread at 7am this morning and have just finished reading it. Quite simply i havn't laughed this much in a very long time! I'm currently having alot of money worries and have been feeling stressed and very down about it all, but that thread has made me smile so so much. I have been crying with laughter. I know it's about money saving but laughter is the best medicine and i have come away from that thread with a renewed hope about my future and i'm feeling great now. Too much in life is serious and laughter like that has become a rarity. Also it's a perfect example of the MSE motto; CONSUMER REVENGE!!0 -
I'd really like to nominate Amba_Gambla for the thread posting how to get free tickets for Afrika Afrika (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=689825) - at least I think this was the original thread, but I might stand corrected...
The thread was going for a long time and saved the people who went an awful lot of money (I think the tickets were £50-60 to buy). I had a fantastic time going and would not have done so had it not been for the freebie offer.0 -
Perhaps not POST of the year but POSTER of The year IYSWIM...ie constant dedication in which case Pigpen is a worthy candidate...check out the weekly FLYlady threads.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Thank you Honey Bear0 -
I nominate colonelhall for the npower gas sculpting thread. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=822299
This led to the exposure of systematic overcharging of customers to the tune of millions of pounds. As a result MSE members have been able to recover £000's and it is still going on. Well done colonelhall. Without coming across this thread I doubt I would have been aware of this devious plot.0
