  • Afternoon everyone.

I'm a bit late today... I'm usually having my first cuppa of the day when I post but I'm eating my dinner at the moment (well.. eating chocolate buttons that come after my dinner. Some days a girl just needs choccie!)

I haven't been too naughty this weekend. Went shopping yesterday and my biggest expenditure was on myself... but it was a lovely toasty jumper from H&M and I thought I deserved a treat for doing so well with my Crimble shopping (just one present to go!) OH's present was finished off with loyalty card points and I still have plenty to spend in the sales, ready to get a Christmas box together for next year.

    My list for today:
    • Checked internet banking. Interest has been paid on all my accounts so I've rounded all my savings up to the nearest £5.00. My current account looks positively anorexic at the moment but the less I have in there, the less I can spend :)
    • Checked Quidco. A last minute payment coming through means I've had £4.39 from them this month. I've rounded it up to a fiver and hidden it away.
    • Checked for surveys... none today but I've managed to claim my Globaltestmarket cheque for 1000 points (must update sig).
    • Brought left over cottage pie into work for dinner and will try and work through some of the stuff in the freezer for tea. There's loads in there and we need to make room for all the customary Crimble vienettas :rotfl:
    • Got some change ready to go in the sealed pot for tomorrow.
    • Remind my OH to post the game he sold for me on ebay and find some more stuff to put on there.
    • Also remind him to bring his change home from work for me to count into his little pots. I love doing it... because I'm a bit sad really :D
    • Have a NSD. I'm back in the challenge this month so it'll hopefully be 12 for me.
    • 30 degree wash when I get home.
    • Work out what needs charging and bring it into work tomorrow.
It keeps threatening snow here in Sheffield but it isn't threatening hard enough for my liking! :) Have a good afternoon everyone!
  • Not much - 2 final ultimatum letters to Egg and Natwest saying, "My money back NOW or it's off to court I go"

    That's all for me today.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

Hi guys, hope you have all had a good few days.

My things for today so far:
-Dragged myself out of bed and went to college, so i will get paid for going
-Used free texts to get in touch with people
    -Looked for mystery shops
-Contacted someone regarding meal choices for a free meal
-Phoned my second job regarding changing day and doing some extra work
-Made lunch from food that has been hanging around the bottom of the fridge for ages
-Put some loose change in payment a day pig
-Sitting here with scarf on rather than putting heating on!

I will add more as the day goes on.

Miss piggy, try googling free things to do in Bournemouth, you may be surprised what you come up with!

    Not much today

Took in a packed lunch (including some home made banana bread to prevent buying extras)
    Checked my online banking
Managed to drop the price of a Christmas gift from £8.99 to £6.29, thanks to some shopping around online and a *small* Quidco credit :money:

    So far today;

I have bought whoopsie marked down meat from Mr A for slow cooker meals for the next 2 weeks (v.pleased about this) ;)
Finished off some short notice pickled onions, might be too late for Xmas but will be ready for after:confused:
Posted a cd sold on amazon market place :D
Posted an item sold on ebay (which I had in a box for 12mths unused!) :D
Loaded up 7 more items on ebay to finish at the end of the week holding my breath for some more sales:cool:
No heating on a home yet and it is freezing sat here with a hat on all day but who cares!

AND BEST OF ALL - put 3 x £2 coins into sealed bottle!! :rotfl: I haven't done that for a long time.

Keep on trying each day to spend less and make some more go in, too scared to work my debt out tho'
final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333

Remembered to send off a £100 cheque to open our Christmas 2009 savings account with Skipton (hoping for £3k+ interest by next November). Documents were sent insured, so that's a couple of pounds I can take off the spreadsheet titled 'I owe GF' ;)
Requested recycling bins from my Council (not affecting my debts, but they're free and reduce my carbon debt if nothing else) :T
  • today i have spent and juggled loads....!

paid out school dinner money and 2 months (nov and dec) kids club money - felt awful about owing last months amount!

checked mine and hubbys online accounts

will be getting hubby to phone up 2 old credit card accounts to close them

have requested my old business acount be closed, balance transferred to my current account (which i will then use to pay off towards ccard)

    paid £6.90 outstanding national insurance

just eaten fishfinger sarnies for (late!) lunch and will be having dinner from freezer - homemade burgers
    requested 2 job application forms

switch PC off and go pick up order from boots - at least 3 items i need to return from there so get money back too

    Do the weeks ironing tonight

PHEEW! didn't realised i did so much!

Afternoon all - sorry I'm so late today - work just gets in the way sometimes!

    Today I will/have
    • Check online banks - all fine
    • Quidco payment of £150 on the way :j
    • Do a few surveys
    • Take lunch to work
    • Walk dog for free exercise (it is cold though!)
    • Have tea from fresh stuff needing using up in the fridge
    • Do little pile of ironing
    • Try to find mortgage payment plan details ready to call them tomorrow
    • Try to find savings/investment plan details and call them to see how its worth now (due to mature in a few years time but not sure whether to leave it in or put it in a "proper" bank account for safe keeping)
    • Not use mobile phone!
    • Do budget to last until next pay day (2 weeks today)
    • Try to stick to meal plan for the week to minimise shopping for next week
That's it for today - have a good one!
