Scratched Cat

Hi, my cat has been scratched on the end of his nose, probably about a week ago. It has scabbed over but a little of the scab is now coming off and some pus has come out of it. I'm gonna take him to the vets as soon as I can get an appointment but just want to know whats best to give it a clean with some salt water or…

Not just Dettol... any antiseptic that turns white/cloudy when you add it to water... Basically they contain Phenols that are poisonous to cats
