Just wrote a fantastic step-by step guide and firefox crashed
Audacity is a free programme that you can download from lots of software sites, I tend to use www.cnet.com for most things. It works along the same lines as taping a song from the radio. You open Audacity and set it to record and then hit play on the youtube vid that you've chosen. It will then record the audio from the video, which you can save as an mp3, windows media player file ect. This can be popped straight onto your DD's mp3 player.
The Riva encoder is more of a faff..but we use it on on our XP PC as audacity doesn't seem to like Vista home premium.- download the RIVA FLV Encoder from cnet.com
- Find the video that you want from youtube and copy down the url
- go to www.keepvid.com and paste url into the search bar
- Click on the link that it brings up and download the file.
- once downloaded, go to the file and change the end of its name to .flv
- Open the riva encoder, find the file that you've just renamed and in the destination file box change its file name to .mp3 .Hit the Encode file button and voila..................you have the mp3 file
Hope that helped!Sanity is the playground of the unimaginative!0 -

Hope everyone has a good day - I've got loads to do today - am going to start sorting the paperwork now, then get DS's room done once he's left, then shopping - although that may change as I only have enough sugar for about 2 cuppas left if I'm lucky so shopping may come earlier...
