Just feel really pathetic that I can't keep my house tidy! Organised is fine, cleaning is fine, clearing and tidying is where I come unstuck!
Don't be silly, you're not pathetic, (although you're not silly either...:o )You just feel that way at the moment...
Hugs to you Gryfon - when small things happen they seem to be mountains - kids rooms being an ideal situation...
Just a thought, you like baking don't you? what about treating the kids to their favorite snack - whatever cakes/delicacies it may be - if they do their bedrooms, even just clear the floors? then you can be happy in the kitchen while they rush around like madmen (we can hope!) in their bedrooms? That way you can praise them instead of nagging them... It might make you feel a bit better?
I know the last couple of days with just me and DS in the house has been really nice, no shouting and moaning, just working together and for him doing his stuff he has got to use my phone for MSN and stuff as it's free (THAT was the reason I got it) We've not been this nice to each other for I don't know how long, and his bedroom is tidy (in a fashion) so that makes me feel better too...
We all get times like you're having, but the small things mount up and sometimes it can take us longer to get out of it than it normally would... Don't try to do everything at once - so something that is achieveable first, so you can see an outcome from it - this may mean that you put some stuff on hold until you feel better about yourself, if you try to loose weight, make your back better, do housework and sort your finances out all in one go, something will have to give and it will be your sanity!
Sit yourself down when you have a minute and make yourself a plan - do one thing at a time - as A&W'sMum said, small 15 minute time slots are best - and do one thing that you know will improve your life - be it your finances, your bathroom, whatever you decide - just make it something that you can see a difference with - you need to achieve stuff at the moment to help you feel on top of it or you will be back to square one.
Sorry, bit of a rant there, but hope it made sense and didn't come across as preachey - sometimes the written word does not 'sound' the same as the spoken word... I am sure Pigpen and others will be much more eloquent than me...

It is just for regular users of the site to alert Martin and his team to good deals as they obviously dont have time to trawl through the whole site every day.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

The house is freezing cold so I need to get on with some work to warm up. The stove is on so it will get better eventually. So far I have put the DW on and ground to a halt.

Thanks Flylady_Flower. I did have the rewards system which worked well for a few days but I lose momentum  Going to get them to move in a minute though whilst I sort the washing out, they can clear the lounge floor for me which is mostly their stuff anyway!Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!
