So you're not keen then???????:rotfl:Laughing aside, I know what you mean, we nearly lost DS when he had salmonella and they were going to send him home AGAIN for the 4th time until hubby threatened them, literally, to get someone else in to check him... it really shouldn't take that EVER! But I have been really lucky and have had brilliant doctors most of my life - having Asthma attacks I come into contact with them regularly, and they have always been great - Like someone said, it really does depend who you get and what effort they want to make, sorry for your sh!tty luck with them Piggers...
This post comes courteousy of my shiny new laptop:j Early xmas present to myself:o Shiny Sony Vaio:D .

ETA I could add to this but I won't...but you have to remember they are human and they make mistakes...don't ever meekly accept all they say...

I sort of agree with you, no-one is perfect, but these are peoples lives they are dealing with - they are supposed to be the professionals and know what they are talking about, and if they are unsure, ask someone else! it's called a referal... the only reason we go to them is because something is wrong, so dismissing it or us as a waste of their time is totally wrong - we are not conveyor belt meat but humans and I think half the time this is where they go wrong - everyone becomes a number, someone who comes in moaning and 9 times out of 10 there is nothing wrong, but they need to be vigilant for the 10th time when there is... (sorry, bit of a rant there...)

OK, been up since 6am, pottered about a bit and all caught up on the thread, so now I'm going back to bed... woke up to get DS ready, do lunches, sort dogs out, etc., but head is thumping like mad, DS gone back to bed as he has a really bad cough and a temperature (got it last night and was very quiet so know he's not pulling my leg, he never thinks to plan ahead...;) )... Have taken some tablets and will see you all in a bit hopefully...

    Have a great day all...

  • Morning

My day of cuddles started at 5:30 when the boys woke up, unfortunately both of their nappies had leaked, so that was fun when they all ended up in with us.

I drank too much bailies last night. I feel grim.

Thanks for all the hugs from you lovely people. I don't know why it seems to have hit me so hard. It's a guy i worked with - he was my head of department, so i was close to him at work, and we had stayed in touch loads since he retired. I think probably because it is my first friend i have lost (well, lost a friend at school, but that was gosh nearly 17 years ago now) and at 61, he is the same age as DHs dad, and it has just made me think about mortality. I need to stop worrying as much as i do.

The boys are being great so far, they are sat watching thomas and playing. At least it is Friday today and i can have the weekend with DH to get my head round it all a bit.

Thanks for listening and being good friends

    Morning all

    hugs to michelle

I was useless yesterday and did nothing off my list! Hence I'm up nice and early today on my day off! We have 4 people round for dinner tonight so want to make sure the place looks its best. Mainly needs a S&S but bathroom & kitchen need more! So i'll find yesterdays list and add a few bits to it.

First thing i'm doing after my cuppa is shower and ready then i'm going into town to buy my magimix :D Got a 10% off voucher for Dhams on top of their sale (because we had our wedding list with them). Need a few other bits in town too and need to wrap presents at some point for those that are here this weekend who we won't see!

Just a present tip: I bought presents from Blacks (outdoor shop) for all my volunteers to give last night, they have 3 for 2 on loads of stuff and we got them insulated mugs, water bottles, flasks etc. There's some really lovely stuff - very pretty water bottles for ladies! I got a few more for family as they're so nice.

right, off to find yesterday's list...

    *hugs* michelle

What I don't get is how people manage to get so much done by 9am! So far I've managed to get up and dressed, supervised the children having breakfast (DD1 made their toast), put all their lunches together and got them all off to school. Just got back and nothing is done and I've been up since 7.30am :(

Supposed to be going to mother and toddler group this morning but DD2's nose is still running and I'm still coughing so I'm not sure if I should, what do you all think? If I don't go I have more than enough to do!

Things to do before I start any list off here:

Write out and send Christmas cards to lil_me
Do a Christmas card list for everyone else (or look on computer to see if I already have one)
Write out my Christmas list for parents and Mr G
Work out what I'm getting for everyone else!

I think once I've done that I can relax a bit as I want to get a lot of it online so the sooner the better!
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!
