I would check the phone book/yellow pages for local wholesalers. These are the places a lot of regular ebayers get their stock too I think - generally last seasons at a fraction of the RRP
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155

    Jewellery designer, currrently earning zilch.

Part time internet dominatrix, currently earning just above zilch

Now there's a job I never saw advertised in the Careers Office...:rotfl:
  • I'm a single mum and a p/t support worker for people with learning difficulties. Took the job as a temporary measure until I found something better and stayed because I love it. I work for a very small company that pays very well and has allowed me to be quite flexible with my hours. Currently doing 28 hours a week, mostly as sleeping night shifts.

I'm also always on the look out for other ways of earning money. Casual jobs, temporary, work from home, anything really. Had a week's contract last year handing out free newspapers; do mystery shopping; some chatline work, etc.
    April £10 a day challenge £321.85/£300 May £10 a day challenge £136.93/£310 July £20 a day challenge £530.57/£620

    Hi Lauren,

    What don't i want outsourced?!

I outsource the niggly stuff I don't have time to do, such as testing and tracking sites' performance, checking links are up to date, market research, writing articles, blogging and lots of other things. But the VAs I use at the moment are all abroad and work for less than Brits would work for.

Tim Ferriss who wrote the 4 Hour Work Week outsources everything, in fact his 4 hours of work are actually replying to emails and checking how rich he is!

I'm really slow so I needed his book and to outsource just to fit everything in. But it's a great book for anyone.

Look at it this way... In a hundred years who's gonna care?
  • Interesting thread!

I work 18.5 hours per week as a legal assistant for the local council dealing mainly with personal injury claims against the council. Pays 10k gross which is good for part time.

Need to top up though but don't want to go full time as I have a 2 year old. My husband is a full time student so I am looking for ideas for him too as he doesn't have a job at the moment.

I had the same problem with the surveys as someone else mentioned particularly with Ciao. Answer about 10 questions and then it tells you you don't qualify for the survey and as a result get no money!

Do a bit of dabbling on ebay selling on stuff to fund more stuff for my little one mostly :)

I took early retirement from the NHS in Feb (was a Staff Nurse) and now work as a home carer for 20 hrs a week. Wage is terrible but I manage with my pension.
  • I work full time in an office, but also work part time as a chat moderator on a bingo website.

It is ace! have to say its the best job ever, i get to work in my PJ'S and always loads of overtime and shifts available.... all above minimum wage.... but above all its a really enjoyable job.
  • I am a full time mum to 3, nail technician from home, silver smither, jewellery maker.
Would love to be a chat room moderator as It would fit well with the kids. Looking for everything and anything that could make me money so I can give my kids there first holiday(eldest is 9).
