Trying to find a job that fits around my family right now... Not having much luck!

Me too Lauren! What a nightmare! my kids are 2, 4,a nd 6 years old, so have 2 in school fulltime and little one is at home and nursery part time while i do some courses.

It's blooming hard work trying to find a part time or term time job. My shool doesnt have abrekke or after school club and i couldnt afford to use them even if they did. Am applying like mad for outeach jobs, community worker jobs but nothing - all say i need more experience!

why not look into working as a school nurse assistant or a school classroom assistant as these jobs would be term time only.

our school nurse assistant works 9am til 3pm she doesnt have a dinner break just a few coffees few out the day and has a sarnie at her desk.

check out the nhs jobs website to see if any jobs near you even if hours are slightly more than you want or are part time for 3 days they may let you spread the hours over 4/5 days to fit in with childrens school hours

For those of you who need a legit job to do from home...I work for a charity and one of the companies who we buy new stock in from employs people to remove branding from products before they sell it on the companies like ours. They deliver it to your house, you either remove a tag, cross something out or similar and then they come and take the stuff back when you're done.

I had a chat with the boss of this company to find out what it involves and it sounds like the perfect job for someone to work at home at their own leisure and they have lots of people working for them who have kids and need to stay home during the day, finding it difficult to work. Most of the pay is per item so it depends how quick you work but the money seemed pretty decent.

So the type of company you need is a wholesaler who supplies charities with old stock from larger companies. I would recommend you pop into your local charity shop (just the smaller local area ones really) and see if you can find out who they use. Not quite sure how you would find out who to speak to otherwise but the Yellow Pages might be a good place to start.

Hope that makes sense and I hope it helps someone :)

Never heard of this before. Interesting. I've never seen products like that in our local shops.

asking charty shops that sort of question, are they likely to give you a good answer, concidering your asking this question out of the blue.just a question, if your paid by the item & the pasy pretty good, you must get a lot of money per item?
