Totally sick of Barclays incompetence!

About 2 weeks ago i posted on here that there was fraud commited on my debit card, well Barclays was useless, they were no help what so ever, wouldnt up my overdraft so we could buy food or anything! this was a very stressful time for us.
So eventually, after many phone calls and spending alot of money on mobile phone credit, i got all the money and charges refunded, and told that i would be sent fraud forms to fill out etc, great i thought, i can finally sleep at night.
Well i recieved the fraud forms, and that day i went into my bank and asked for a statment to be printed off to send with the forms, the women there helped me fill them out and then i put the forms in an envelope, and the women at my bank, took the envelope off me and said 'dont worry, we will post this for you today'.
Well i thought my nightmare was finally over untill today! I have checked my bank and money has gone missing again, after yet more phone calls, it turns out that barclays has took the money back that was refunded because they have recieved no fraud forms!
They said that the case is now closed and i will have to go and see my bank Monday morning
I cant believe the incompetence of this bank!!! its a few weeks till christmas, and yet again we cant even afford to buy food or nappies for my disabled son.
Sorry for the long rant, as soon as this is over i will no longer be a customer of barclays bank, there customer services are disgusting.
So if anybody is with barclays, beware!
Thanks for listening, feel a bit better now ive had a rant

Sorry, but why the hell are you ranting here? This isn't Barclays Customer Relations.
This is: http://www.personal.barclays.co.uk/BRC1/jsp/brccontrol?task=articlegroup&value=3657&site=pfs
The only way things are going to get better for you - or for anybody - is if you tell us that you're having problems (even if you're going to leave).
The same goes to everybody else who complains on these forums about HSBC, Lloyds, Natwest, etc. (Just obviously don't use the link above.)What would William Shatner do?0 -

Thanks for sharing your negative experience with Barclays. I only bank with HSBC and have never encountered any service as bad as what you have described. Hopefully your case will be resolved soon and that they respond to your complaint.0 -

I am totally aware that this is not Barclays Customer relations, and i just wanted people to know what this bank is like.
And i WILL be complaining, in person on Monday morning, because i wouldnt trust complaining in letter or by email including my details after all that has happened.
And correct me if im wrong but i thought this was a forum
Do you actually work for barclays? because you certainly spend alot of time defending them, maybe if barclays employees took more care with there customers rather than defending them on forums all the time, then maybe there customers would be a little happier.0 -

I think you miss the point. The OP had obviously complained to Barclays and been in close contact with the bank to try to solve her problems. She was merely using this forum to vent about her treatment by the bank and she has every right to do so!0 -

I do. I used to work in a branch, but now I work in risk. I don't actually have any customers, nor would I spend my entire life serving them if I did.
And if you really want to know what my bank is like, why would you ask here? This place is full of the angry vocal majority. It's a site that advocates charges and PPI reclaiming. Why would you ever come here for an accurate representation of any financial institution?
And by the by, there's also a telephone number direct to complaints on that page. What would William Shatner do?0 -

No thanks, ive spent the last few weeks trying to talk to them on the phone and spent a stupied amount of money doing so, which has got me no were.
And i have as much right to post on this forum as you do! and if you think that people would never come here for an accurate representation of any financial institution, then why even worry about my post0 -
There's nothing wrong with sharing negative experiences on this board. Clearly the OP is in need of some advice about how to proceed having been failed by Barclays so far. It sounds as though she should make a formal complaint if she hasn't already done so and ask to be reimbursed for any losses suffered as a result of the above events.
By all means I would be happy to answer any questions the OP had... but there weren't anyway. It was just a rant on how crap Barclays are0 -

Waste of time complaining to financial institutions vocally.
After one complaint if it isn't solved do it in writing and if possible send the letter via a way that a judge or ombudsman would indicate the company wasn't being truthful or had major problems if they claimed not to receive it.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
